I'm confused about bringing passport photos to the interview... there is contradicting information: The last page of the P4 letter says that I MUST bring 2 photos, yet below on the same page, on the list of documents it says PHOTOGRAPH - Y (The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate).

So I already sent the NVC 2 photos, which they now sent to the embassy, but the embassy also wants 2 MORE photos? What do they need so many photos for? To make a collage? And they dont specify how recent the new ones are supposed to be, or if I can bring copies of the same ones as I sent to NVC.

you still have to bring in 2 passports picks to interview. All the Y fro NVC is saying is what you presented to them they sent to embassy but you still have new pics to bring. Long as they aren't more than a6 months old I believe is the thing.

Hi guys, we're still waiting for a CC from the NVC, but thought I would post here for a little bit of advice - with regards proof for the interview.

So the interview will be in Dublin, Ireland - we've been married over a year now, but my wife has lived here in Ireland since Dec, I am wondering if we should say that to the CO, as they may question her residency? - she still has her FL driving licence, is on the lease of her apartment (joint with her mom) and also is an online student at Liberty Univeristy, VA.

I think telling the CO that we've been living together will help prove a bona-fide marriage as we dont really have other proof of stuff at the moment, as we dont talk online etc as we dont need to - not much recent photos etc - I am just worried the whole residency thing will come into play.

Any ideas?

Thanks and wishing everyone gets their interview dates soon :)

You shouldn't have to show residency for living there a few months. If they even ask "when last you sw your wife. you can say she has been here since December.".

She can also attend interview with you.

Yeah Dublin allows you to bring your spouse, which is great news.

I am glad the residency thing shouldnt come up! just worried we dont have much evidence different to what we sent in with our I-130!

Quick question/confirmation as our interview date approaches:

I was just looking over the VJ Paris Embassy page (http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=France&cty=Paris), and I noticed that there is a lot of information that hasn't come up in our case and isn't mentioned in our P4 letter at all. I think I understand that the P3 is only for fiance visas and doesn't apply to us; if this is the case, does this mean that we can ignore the DS-160, DS-2001, and I-134 forms? None of these things are mentioned in the interview preparation instructions in the P4 letter.

I think we've got this under control, but I don't want to leave any stone unturned after 13 months of waiting. :)

Thats all K1 stuff. You have done all the form filing you will do. The only thing left to do is after you receive your Visa and you go online to pay your Visa Fee (green card production fee) of $165.

Hey guys, i literally just read this whole thread just now and im in panic mode. I have an interview at the buenos aires embassy april 16, 2015. Heres my questions:

1) We did not receive a "packet 3", we got a p4 interview letter only a few days after CC, did I miss it?

2) The embassy instructions nor medical instructions were emailed to us...just the p4. did we miss this?

3) There is no mention of dhl online registration anywhere on the p4 letter and this is all we have received,

4) On our p4 letter we were not asked to bring any financial evidence (Y), but should we bring the 2014 taxes or transcripts along with new i-864?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi for the tax information I would like to know too!

About your medical and every other things concerning dhl you have to go on the Nvc website and follow the instructions regarding your embassy or consulate where your interview is gonna take place. You have to go on Nvc website in the section" preparing for the interview" there you're going to find out everything entering the three letters of you're case number...hope this helped you

This is K1 stuff, are you going for a K1 visa?

EDIT: Sorry, the packet 3 thing is a K1 thing, I'm pretty sure. The embassy instructions are on your p4. Medical instructions too but the doctors know what to do. DHL is not mandatory. I'm not sure about the tax thing, but I would say it's probably a good idea to bring 2014 tax details since it's after the 15th of April

He should take a copy of your extension, plus copies of anything that proves your 2014 income (W-2s, etc.)

whats the DHL tracking are some ppl talking about?

Newbie - it depends on your Embassy/Consulate and how your visa/passport/brown packet will be returned to you. In Australia, you bring an Australia Post Express Envelope. In Canada, you register with Loomis. In some other countries, they use DHL. In some countries, you come back to the embassy and pick it up yourself. Follow the instructions for YOUR country.
