After weeks of bitching about my case to NVC, they finally sent the package to Manila! Now, my question is, they did not schedule the appointment for my mom. Should I call the embassy for that or they will notify us for that? If you want to know how to do it the way I did it, just PM me lol... How I was approved for expedite and how my case was completed like in a week!

I am either really tired of this is actually confusing! I paid the AOS pee and it is in status IN PROCESS. I logged in and see that I can start the DS-261, so I will work on that tomorrow. On that same page, it give me an option to pay the IV fee. Should I be paying both of these at the same time? Also, when can I send my packets?

Thank you so much for your help!

After getting my case and IIN over the phone the day my case# was assigned, it was immediately there in the online portal.

As for part 3 of the I864, you check yes, rather than leave it blank.

The cover sheet that shows up when you pay the AOS fee is the one that would need to be attached the the packets right?

Thank you so much for your help!

I cannot pay the fee either. OMG. They make me crazy. What wrong with them. I cannot do anything with my case number. No ds-261 and no AOS fee invoice. :(

And yes, you can send your package when the AOS fee show as paid.

You are not able to pay the AOS fee? I was able to pay the fee and complete my DS-261. I called them this morning and they told me to wait but then with a fellow VJ member's suggestion I checked and I was able to pay. I have to wait for it to say PAID before I can send the package? This is so confusing. I apologize to everyone for the amount of questions I have!

Good luck, I hope you can pay soon!

What did you ask them to invoice for you? I called them multiple times and they always tell me to wait. So frustrated. You use the case number and invoice number right? I don't have beneficiary number.

You can send it as long as you have the barcoded cover sheet. however, i would wait until the AOS show paid to be the safe side. But that is up to you.

Dont worry too much about it. To give you an idea. We sent ours on Jan 16 and got our 60 day email confirmation on Feb 20 morning. They are quite behind. And TwoChickies sent in their documents Jan 25 and got theirs a week after ours. By the look of things, you should get yours in a week or so.

Hey Steve and Alice.

Thanks for the note. I did receive the 60day email confirmation just this missing. One quick question, coming from my paranoid side (lol) since my documents were sent in two different emails - 1 for I-864 and the other for DS-260 does this email confirmation reflect the receiving of both these emails or just the one they received first of the two?

Hope that made sense.

I sent all of our documents pertaining to one case in 4 emails because they wouldn't fit in any less. Each email had some IV, some AOS documents just to get them to fit properly. I just made sure they had my case number and info in each one. I got one confirmation although it did not say anything about receiving 4 emails.
