hey, let's wait together :)

I know, that's so true! I hope we will get our docs reviewed before the 60 days mark... I saw some CC after 35-40 days

Yeah I have been reading its rumoured that anyone with a scan date after March 1 should take around 35 days!! The proof as they say will be in the pudding, budget for the full 60-70 days and anything before that is great... would love to get the Florida for the summer!

I have had many delays in the processing of I130 and subsequently DS260. Currently, my documents are at NVC. I would like to know how long it takes for an interview at the London consulate from date of cc. Any recent experiences?

Appreciate any input.

Ok, I have another question/issue- and others may want to be aware of this before filing your taxes that includes a non-resident alien spouse.

So it looks like the IRS is requiring me to file for a W-7 for my non resident alien spouse (he is Swedish and is NOT in the US) in order for him to get an ITIN- even though I am filing (and have filed in 2013/2014 as Married Filing Separately). I have seen on this forum that people who are Married Filing Separately are puttin NRA (non resident alien) in the part of tax form that asks for spouse SSN. Well, I did that and received a notice from the IRS 6 months later that they can not accept this. We already filed everything with NVC and have received our first checklist...but this issue was not part of the checklist. However, I was not able to provide my amended 2013 tax transcript because the IRS will not process it without an ITIN # for my spouse (and the w-7 form takes up to 8 weeks to process).

I am now crossing my fingers that NVC will accept my printed copy of 2013 1040X (and not the official transcript) since I cant get it without filing for W-7 and getting ITIN # for my spouse. I am not sure if this is a new change with IRS, or what. Just wanted everyone to have a heads up that this may be another hurdle...and to file for the w-7 as soon as possible so you can file your taxes with properly and not get messed up as I have.

My question, has anyone run into this? Are you all aware of the w-7 needing to be filed for non-resident alien spouse so you can put an ITIN number on taxes even if filing separately? This may need to go into wiki if so...

http://www.irs.gov/publications/p501/ar02.html#en_US_2014_publink1000220762

So this is what i found on the IRS homepage just now, and it´s still stating, that you should "NRA" if your spouse doesn´t have a SSN or ITIN or isn´t required to have one.

I really think it is a grey zone and it depends on who is working on your file. Or it simply hasn´t been updated yet

Hi, I am also applying form the UK. From what I've seen here, the interview is usually 6-7 weeks after CC, but of course, it depends on how busy the embassy is. What is your scan date?

Yes-- I am the one making that claim based on the trends that we're observing. This claim should apply to about 58% of contestants playing the National Visa Center game. Wait until April or May whenever USCIS starts accepting DACA/DAPA or any other acronym and this will slow down USCIS/NVC; I don't think NVC would handle these types of cases but 5,000,000 potential cases isn't going to make it easier for anyone.

Pay attention (I know I am) to this graph as we should start seeing GROWTH in this region.

We just realized that NVC can actually finish the review early, and wait for the 60 days to be up before sending the CC emails!

We seek help from a congressman to follow up our case, we noticed that the review of my case was completed 15 days after scan date! Yet NVC only responded roughly 60 days after!

I'm not so sure why they are doing this.

Congrats on the CC. When was your scan date? Did you not call the NVC at all?

Not CC yet, awaiting for the scan date of the updated documents and review completion (via congressional inquiry - they estimated 1-2 weeks - at least that's what NVC responded to our inquiry)

Hi Guys

Need your help!

Actually I got a checklist which states that you have to submit

1. “A written statement indicating why you did not file 2013 federal income tax return”.

2. 2013 Federal income tax return, IRS printout, or letter 1722 issued by IRS

What I came to know after calling NVC is that your wife has to be one of the sponsor (is this true?)

Considering that is true, Do I have to submit 2 no's of AOS ???

One would be filled by my wife with '0' income in 2013 as she was staying with me (abroad) for the whole 2013 and has no income, since she has not filed her 2013 tax so I would be giving a written statement about the same stating the situation. Will it be acceptable to them??

Second one would be filed by sponsor (my wife's uncle) so in total there would be two no of AOS??

Please help me out if someone has any idea about it or someone has gone through the same thing.

Thanks!

Marriage Date : 01/03/2013

Filed I-130 : 02/14/2014

Paid AOS and IV : sometime in Aug-Sep-2014

Sent Form IV : 12/08/2014

Sent AOS : 01/19/2015Last

Scan date : 01/20/15

Checklist : 03/23 :(

Checklist scan date: 04/03/15

Case complete: 04/27/2015

Visa interview expedition request: 05/02/2015

Expedition approved : 05/06/2015

Document in transit : 05/13/2015

Interview schedule :05/20/2015

Hey himanshu, I have a somewhat similar case to yours, in that my wife's the petitioner, I'm the applicant, and she lives with me abroad, and so her uncle (no joke) will be financially sponsoring me.

As far as AOS is concerned you need to file two I-864 forms, one by your wife and the other by your wife's uncle. The both need to put themselves down as Joint Sponsors; hers will have little or no income, while his will be a full-fledged version of that.

That's as much as I know, so I hope it did shed some light for you.

Sorry, I am reposting this again,... SOme help please guys =)

Hello all,

Don't know if this question has been asked before, I actually checked but couldn't find it.

For my DS-261, I chose my self (the benficiary) as the agent. I currently live in Colombia with my husband but we decided to use my aunt's address in the US for the DS-261 under my name, so she could mail us anything through express couRier (because regular mail in Colombia takes forever)

I now believe this was a huge mistake given that it would mean that I changed my address to the US....=(=(

WHat do you guys think? Any advice or opinion would be highly appreciated.

Best,
