Hey everyone! I need help! Scan date of 3/20. I just received a checklist email asking for the following things:

-Passport

-Birth Certificate

-Marriage Certificate

-Marriage Termination

-Canada Police Certificate

-Court Records

-Financial Evidence

Then it says: "We received your Immigrant Visa Application; however, we have not received an Affidavit of Support form. You must submit an Affidavit of Support form before we can complete your case."

I obviously sent every single thing they mentioned above as well as a separate envelope (shipped in the same larger envelope) with all of the AOS docs. Is this a false checklist? I'm super, super confused!

Thanks!

Yes, I'm betting it's a false checklist based off them reviewing your DS-260. Call on Monday to confirm

Scan date 20th March? So 8 days? I must be missing something here

Congrats though sounds like a fake checklist!

I know right?!? I'm a visajourney stalker, so when I first saw the email I thought for sure I was misreading it as something from VisaJourney. Do you know if this means my case is already being looked at (we could expect an approval sometime soon)? I honestly can't imagine how people who are at the 30-40 day mark feel. The anxiety is already making me crazy!

It just means they looked at your DS-260 (per your "checklist"), not your packages. When did you submit the DS-260?

Scan date 2nd march. Hoping for no checklists!

Hey, we have the same scan date, here is hoping something soon... but we've budgeted for the first week in May before hearing anything back!

It is actually incredibly nerve wrecking - everything else we've done, USCIS etc, has been fine as you send it in and you're good, NVC, they seem to WANT to checklist you :(

I know, that's so true! I hope we will get our docs reviewed before the 60 days mark... I saw some CC after 35-40 days

So either that's new, or you got a real nitpick of an employee at the IRS

I'd suggest getting that W7 done pronto though as you'll need 2014 tax information at the interview.

If you are listing your spouse at all on your tax return you NEED to apply for ITIN. I file HOH but because I listed my husband (which I got an exemption for) i had to apply for ITIN. If you file MFS or MFJ you definitely need ITIN. For HOH it is not required unless you are claiming an exemption for your foreign spouse. I did it because it lists him on my return as my spouse which should help to show bonafide.
