NVC Filers - March 2015

We just mailed our AOS & IV packages off to our joint sponsor, who's going to add her AOS stuff in the package and send it to NVC.

We combined the whole case (all documents) into one package, under one cover sheet, since we read the NVC's instructions like that - let's hope it won't result in a checklist! Reading from the forum I see most people put the AOS and the Supporting Documents under separate cover sheets, and even in separate envelopes? The NVC website states "you must submit all of your forms, financial evidence, and photocopies of your original civil documents in ONE package to the NVC. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package." which is what we followed. Are we the only ones...?

Just sent mine too. Everythingin the same envelope but separated by paperclips.

Have you called them? I'd demand to talk to a supervisor.

Yes I call them almost every day just to hear "you should hear something soon", spoke with supervisor 2 weeks ago and she assured that she will have the results for me the following week but now every time I calles she is not available and I ask representatives to leave a note for her which I ain't sure if they do !

Hi guys really worried here , scan date January 5th and no news from NVC yet???

Just curious..what are the circumstances of your case, did you file paper or electronic? Was your scan date in January for 1st time filing or sending something in for checklist??

What？ the system is down for electronic processing ? So i am start thinking is that electronic processing are really work or not ?

She said it was down for a while that's why they are behind on EP.

Yes, since it starts with AMM. I called before sending my documents, if I can just mail them!? They said no, Jordan is only taking EP.

Does Jordan do electronic submission?

I Just call NVC YES confirm there electronic processing system are have issues and till now still have the same issues.

Our case was just received At NVC my wife just called them. The lady on the phone said to her that it will take 4 weeks for them to file it then another 4 weeks till we can do anything with it update them on e-mails etc

does this seem accurate to what people are seeing?

Ours took about 6 weeks from the date they (NVC) received the package (from the USCIS) untill AOS fee got unlocked and able to pay. We were told it will take 4+4 weeks too.

My interview is scheduled on May 12 at mumbai embassy

I scheduled my Biometrics on May 10 and selected Visa pick up at Mumbai VFS.

Can anyone know how long it will take to collect my passport at Mumbai vfs pick up location after interview?

Can I change the pick up location or have the option to get my passport couriered to me after my interview?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can get police clearance from the highest police department that normally issues certificates for overseas/visa purpose. They normally come in two languages. If not, have it translated in English. Check on US embassy website in your country which transaltors are recognized by US embassy. No need to attest it somewhere else.

There must be a signature and stamp on the PC certificate!

Hello everyone,

We recently paper filed MFJ for 2013 and 2014. We are informed the ITIN request will approximately take about 4 - 6 weeks. For our AOS package, can we submit copies of all the tax returns (should we include the form w7?) we just filed or wait until the ITIN is available?

Hello all, first-time poster here. I'm currently filing for a CR-1 visa, since my wife and I have been married for less than two years. And we are currently at the point where we filled in the DS-261 form and submitted it on Jan. 27 2015. Unfortunately, and due to my anxiety and paranoia, I have clicked on the "COMPLETED" status next to the DS-261 a few times since, only to find out a few days ago that every time I did so, "the clock resets", excpet I have no idea which clock that is.

Now, the last time that I submitted the DS-261 was on Mar. 13, 2015 (haven't dared to touch it since). To-date we have paid the AOS fee, but we are still waiting to be invoiced for the IV Application Fee. How long do you think we need to wait before they invoice us for the IV application fee?

Any guidance on this subject would be highly appreciated.
