If you and your spouse filed your taxes jointly (MFJ), you will have to include both the tax transcript and your individual W-2 forms. If taxes were filed as NRA or MFS, then a tax transcript will be sufficient.

NRL, So Tax Return Transcript without a W-2 is enough? Because I sent the most recent tax return transcript without sending copies of my W-2. Is that OK? Please help...

If you and your spouse filed your taxes jointly (MFJ), you will have to include both the tax transcript and your individual W-2 forms. If taxes were filed as NRA or MFS, then a tax transcript will be sufficient.

The tax return transcript should still be sufficent because foreign income should be excluded. But a w2 could be handy in that situation.

1. thanks alot for the answer!!! (F)

2. this forms are soooooo confusing sometimes. we were going to submit IV + AOS for me and IV+AOS for my daughter, but i was thinking the AOS would be almost identical just switch the names of me and my daughter at the beginning of the form.

i dont really understand how the household size can be 2 and then 3 , but i guess i dont have to understand everything i just have to get it right

btw. we paid AOS fee in my name already and it should count for both, me and my dauhter right?! i called nvc last week and she said yes, but im not sure if she really understood my question. when i log into my dauhters account with her case number it still shows AOS not paid even though we paid like 2 weeks ago

The household thing is weird but only because it's a step child. They figure it out.

Call the NVC and explain your daughter's case is not yet showing the AOS and paid and the cases should be joined.

We recently paper filed MFJ for 2013 and 2014. We are informed the ITIN request will approximately take about 4 - 6 weeks. For our AOS package, can we submit copies of all the tax returns (should we include the form w7?) we just filed or wait until the ITIN is available?
