OMG our AOS fee just changed from paid to n/a, literally in the last 20 minutes. I've checked it like 100 times today. I can't believe it!!!!!!!! Our scan date was 1/30.

In the NVC welcome letter, It lists the following documents

Proof of relationship

Proof of US status

Social Security Earnings statement

Proof of assets.

What is required for Proof of relationship, didn't see that NVC process wiki. The other 3 is not applicable to us or what? Proof of US status I can provide but what is required for the other two?

Our joint sponsor's birth cert is in her maiden name; and she doesn't have an in date passport - we did however send a copy of her out of date passport as supporting evidence - I really hope they can apply a common sense approach and not checklist us :(

I hope maiden names aren't deal breakers for the i-864!?

By all accounts, this is a quasi-sure-thing lead-up to an official CC...right? I don't have the time to call and verify right now because of work...

Can't wait for an interview date...even if it's a little bit off in the future (which it probably will be), having a date will drastically change both of our lives for the better.

Green card: Accompanying docs stamped 6/16, but the card did not arrive until 7/2 (approx. 11 weeks after POE).
Now it's really over. Thank you so much to all of you at VJ who helped us through this ordeal.

I wanted to give back to the community that helped my wife and I be together in June 2014, so I created an app called 'VisaProcess'.



It is a task based app that takes you through the steps of the visa process, along with the option to read or leave tips for every step. Finally it generates a timeline of how long it would take your case to complete based on historical data of similar dates.

The app is 100% free to use with no ads, and I'm not selling anything. I'm a developer by trade and actually built it for myself. A friend mentioned how valuable it might be to the masses, and so here I am offering it to everyone with hopes that it will become another valuable tool in your process.



Right now it is in English, but is being translated to Spanish, and then eventually French.

Any filers from Colombia? We received a checklist for my husbands birth certificate...I called they said they didn't have it.....overnighted another copy and requested supervisor review....3 weeks later (today) I received a phone call from NVC.

She said the birth certificate needed to have signature of a notary public.

The birth certificate was an official "copia de folio" stating the page the copy was from, stating "notaria tercera" and signed by the issuing authority. I don't understand why this isn't valid after looking again at the checklist, and country reciprocity information.

Any Colombians (or others) have any insight?
