Kels2487,

I did not attach the coversheet that comes with the welcome letter, reason being it came in much later. But i did attach same AOS barcoded cover sheet for both our cases since they are related...CR-1& CR-2(mother and child)and we only paid AOS once for both. i put the same cover for IV and AOS...At the rate of all these checklists, someone please tell me they will not penalise us based on that... #nervous but #hopeful.. Some positive energy please!!

So sorry!!! :( Have you called to gain some clarity? It is hard for us give advice cause we don't see your entire case.

Did you have a joint sponsor? What did you use to prove your current annual income?

I have called, asked for supervisor review, I am not sure how to check if it will be done, lady was like "OK, anything else?" I hope someone will review it and find that piece of paper. She confirmed that it's only for "proof of employment"

My wife is a petitioner, the only sponsor, we don't have anyone else (family) in States, so no chance of joint sponsors. For a family of 4 (2 kids) we have around $12000 income from self-employment , my wife made a license in her name, I do all the work over the internet (I did that before when I was in the US but could not extend status and left). There is hardly anything else we can show to prove that self-employment, it's just the license, work done over internet. There are correct schedules in all our taxes for previous years showing self-employment and associated taxed paid. We are also using our cash assets in bank accounts that we have saved in the past. Cash assets cover the 3x difference between income and poverty line for family of 4. Plus our house. We have enough assets, it's just that lil piece of paper - license that they either did not find or don't like.

The barcoded sheets are to make sure the documents you mail in are associated with your case # in their system. Make sense?

Makes sense by 100% :) I really hope I should be fine then, as I included it (from the welcome letter they sent and printed out from the payment portal), but I didn't put them in each envelope (for AOS and IV), but put on top of everything.

Thank you!!!

I couldn't imagine a checklist for this. Or I've never seen it. And a lot of people don't include the welcome letter bar code coversheet.

If you have scan dates for both of your cases then that means they linked up your package to your case.

I read in Saylin's guide (or somebody elses) it is ok to put just AOS barcoded sheet for both cases as IV unlocks much later. I am not sure for the cover sheet from the welcome letter. But it states the same - your case number. You should be alright in my own opinion.

I worry about putting the barcoded sheet ON TOP of the two envelopes (AOS and IV) instead of by putting the barcoded sheet in EACH of them.

I know how easy we lose our sleep over simple details. Lets hope for the best! Good luck to you!
