Does anyone have problems with ceac.state.gov login? It tells me "application encountered an error, please try again later".

I want to know if it's a widespread problem or if they are updating my case now or something else.

Yes, same here it's giving me the same thing.

Hello guys,

silly question, but it worries me to death:

We just mailed out the AOS and IV packets to the NVC in the separate envelopes, put them two in one big envelope, but I put the barcoded cover sheet and AOS/IV fee confirmation pages attached ON TOP of those two envelopes. Tighten them up with the rubber band. I mean, I did not put those barcoded cover sheets in EACH envelope, but ON TOP of them two. Is it ok?

I was just thinking if the AOS envelope goes to some other department than IV envelope, they won't find those cover sheets included.

Could anyone help me with this or I have to spend a sleepless night :goofy: Thank you sincerely.

Can anybody help me to answer this? Or am I being ignored? :)

I don't think you are being ignored but perhaps others haven't mailed in this way so we're not sure. I don't want to say it's fine or not fine because I don't have personal experience or seen any discussions on VJ about this.

I do think that when the mail comes in it is put into a large pile before it is scanned. That would be my only concern. Is there anything inside the sealed envelopes with the barcode?

You said "we just sent" so it's already in the mail right? I think one barcode sheet is fine but why worry yourself if it's already in the mail(I know, easier said then done) you should be able to check soon to make sure they received everything ok, then you can rest easier. Good luck!!

Thank you very much for your reaction :)

I sincerely hope they will put BOTH packets from the two envelopes in one pile before reviewing them. Those two envelopes weren't sealed, but nothing barcoded inside (all barcoded sheets I put ON TOP of those two and rubber banded them together). I just put AOS and IV documents in different envelopes just to separate them to make it more clear for whoever reads them. I read here some good advice to put everything the in a certain way, so it would be clear for the 9 year old kid :)

Yes, we already sent the packet. And I lost my sleep over it :D

Thank you for your good words, I will somehow try to get some sleep :)

Good luck to you too!!

If I knew what the barcode sheets are for it would make me feel better. I DID include 2 barcoded sheets, but on top of everything. Than barcode only has a case number, that's all. So why do we have to put one in each of the envelopes? Just wonder.

#######, just got a checklist :-( My scan date was 01/22/2015 , it's about 60 days.

They say they are missing proof of employment. My wife is self-employed and we included business license. I know 100% sure we have included it. It's another 60 long days for a piece of paper that they did not see or something.

What should I do? Ask for supervisor review? Send another copy of it? I will definitely send it again... is it just the new checklist cover letter and copy of license? Can I email it?

I don't understand how that happened, did they expect W2 and employment letter and just disregarded the license copy? Or may be they don't know what privilege license is (same as business license)?

Sorry about the checklist! :( I suppose you could have a business license and not be actively working in the business. I got a business license once but ended up never opening the business. Im just not sure how to verify that she is indeed "employed" with the business. Or could it be they are looking more for proof of income more so than just "employment"?

Anyone else can weigh in?

The barcoded sheets are to make sure the documents you mail in are associated with your case # in their system. Make sense?

So sorry!!! :( Have you called to gain some clarity? It is hard for us give advice cause we don't see your entire case.

Did you have a joint sponsor? What did you use to prove your current annual income?
