Yes everyone made an account 9 months in advance, just to tease you today lol

Are you kidding? Everyone made an account over half a decade ago when I was engaged to an American then! (Different American, a dude, who cheated on me so we broke up so I never finished my K-1)

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Sorry you got a checklist. I'm no expert, but I heard that everyone who uses assets to prove his AOS will get a checklist.

I would ask them if it's possible to bring the corrected AOS to the interview.

Noooo I did not any assets to prove my AOS, I used my income, So I have no idea what it may be,

I called again to make sure about the checklist I was told about on AOS earlier today, but this time gave them my different beneficiary's C#, and the guy told me different story, that my case not been reviewed yet. Scan date 01/22. He said call next week. Any explanation about that?

So sorry to hear that you got bad news:(

What do you mean by different C#?

So sorry to hear that you got bad news:(

What do you mean by different C#?

Means I have multiple cases, spouse and children, so spouse's case was my first inquiry that came with checklist on AOS, but when I called back later to inquire with my daughter's case #, the answer was: "This case has not been reviewed, call back next week"....So what is that? I can't understand two different answers on one package

I tried that number a bunch of times yesterday but the recording says no reps available and disconnects the line :(

You may have to call up to 20-50 times in a row to finally get through. Make sure you're calling at the right times as well (7am-midnight EST) :)

Oh so there are two cases.....(each has his own # and each will be reviewed individually).

Huh

It's not one package, it's two packages technically.

I've seen checklists on children's AOS but not on a spouse or second child, and all 3 were exactly the same. It happens.

Can anyone advise how we can track our case when it is forwarded to the Embassy? I called the NVC and said that in order to track i,t we need to request tracking number in writing? does anyone know anything about this? can you provide a sample letter to email to the NVC?

So Now I understand.....I think the checklist they were taliking about was for the spouse not the child .So my 60 days wait became waste? Oh my God!!!!!!!!

if it shows n/a its not ready. if it shows pay then you pay. after you receive confirmation that aos fee has been processed, it takes a long time before the iv fee shows payable because it is "locked" so to speak, if you call nvc and if the rep is nice they can unlock that fee so it can be paid. this unlocking isn't immediate action, it takes several days to process then you will be able to pay. many people call to have the fee unlocked because they are so exhausted from waiting, they just want the process over. if you have the time, then there is no need to call.

It does say 'pay now'. The N/A is only under the column that says 'Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence'. I was under the impression that you pay first and then send those documents. Does this look normal?
