SO ANNOYING, I paid the IV fee on 3/11, as soon as it was invoiced. It showed IN PROCESS. Fine, normal, it says to wait a few business days. Then today, I receive a second invoice for the same fee and it shows NOT PAID on ceac. BUT, they have withdrawn the money from my bank!

I guess we will have to call the NVC when they open.

Yes, it was assigned on March 2 and I received the packet last Saturday. I was able to fill out DS-261 without a problem.

Mrs thb, so how do I know if it's locked? I can see the link that says "Pay now" so I assumed it should be available. Anyway, I guess I'll just try calling if I don't get an answer by email soon.

if it shows n/a its not ready. if it shows pay then you pay. after you receive confirmation that aos fee has been processed, it takes a long time before the iv fee shows payable because it is "locked" so to speak, if you call nvc and if the rep is nice they can unlock that fee so it can be paid. this unlocking isn't immediate action, it takes several days to process then you will be able to pay. many people call to have the fee unlocked because they are so exhausted from waiting, they just want the process over. if you have the time, then there is no need to call.

I called last night and spoke to a really nice rep..... she confirmed she saw the DS261 completed and the AOS fee paid. She tried to review it but said the payment was still processing through their system.... She suggested I call back in one week to have it reviewed and the next fee (IV) unlocked....

I find when I call and get a rep, I ask them how there day is going (using their name) and will make a comment about 'it's nice to see all this snow melting finally....' and will let them know I work in a call center environment too.... So far (**knock wood**) I have found it kind of sets the rep at ease that I'm not calling up to scream and make demands and be "one of those" type of people (that when you work in call center, there seem to always be a lot of...) So far this seems to have worked well for me in having a pleasant experience with the reps.....
