Hey guys, I did my 2014 tax today and the person advised me to file Married Separately for now, but when my husband is in the country and gets his SSN, which I'm hopping in May :), then I can file amendment as married filling jointly, that way we would receive additional $1200 to my tax returns. So, if you are filling married separately you can still do your amendment. I'm planning to send my 2014 return for my husband to take it to interview with my pay stub, so they know everything is up to date. B-)

Hi Guys...

I seem to have come up onto another issue.we had our fiance visa denied at the Delhi embassy last year during with they took my original wife's notarized affidavit of birth which the embassy sent back to the USCIS who then never returned it to us.They say that it will take 6 months to get the documents back from them if we are willing to wait that long.In the meantime we got married and applied for the Spouse visa and now our file is at the NVC and we have to furnish an original notarized affidavit of birth again at time of the interview. We have an attested photocopy of the one the USCIS currently has in their possession.

So do we have to go and get another original or can we do something with the attested copy we have on hand?

Thanks again

The same thing happened with k-1 with our case also. They never gave us back the original documents submitted at the embassy at the day of the interview, but my fiance then and now my husband has to get a new birth certificate for NVC, of course we sent a copy of it, but he will take the original to the interview. To be safe, it is good to take original at the interview. That is my opinion, maybe some one else has different opinion than me. Good luck!
