hang in there guys , our times will come very soon, my God we already waited 95% or the time, we are almost there
LOL i am giving you an advice but i cant work with it easily , very ironic :(

I wish u receive it so soon ... waiting is lethal

i pray so, this waiting truly so tiring, and if you know here in Egypt the process will take another long time as i know until i have the packet 4 and then receiving the visa

185th day here.. just downloaded the tracker app, which means my obsession with checking has gotten worse haha - is anyone else trying to plan some kind of a wedding?

We were doing planning when we were excited.. we havent even talked about it in a while.. hopefully she will get excited when the approval comes and start planning. its hard to plan and be excited about such an unknown.

Who knows, we may just go to las vegas and get married in a helicopter.

We are! I just ordered a dress on Sunday :) I feel like I could write a guide know 90 day wedding planning (tip: you can start way before the 90 days and flexibility with your "vision" is key).

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

!

Dude (sorry, dudette :), you are lucky I recognized your name. I was reading your post and my blood started to boil thinking some jack ### came on this thread and posted this to rub it in our faces and was getting ready to rip the SOB a new one.

You're right! it's not fair. This whole system is jacked up. And here I thought the service at the post office was bad then comes USCIS.

Congrats to you CatherineA, we have exact dates as you, received Feb 17th and notice date Feb 19th! But still nothing, I'm now worried because of what you said about marriage brokers, we met through a normal dating site, but it seems all dating sites are classified by USCIS as marriage brokers, which is not the case. I hope we don't get a RFE after waiting nearly 6 months.

On a more positive note we have our vision for our wedding and are getting married in St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest city in the U.S.! How romantic is that. And we've ordered our rings and she has picked her dress, doing that made us feel good in this tortuous process ?

Good morning everyone! My fiance rang me this morning (very early for him) to say that he got the email confirmation that our case was approved, we got our NOA2!! Thank goodness.

And immediately I'm starting to panic about the next steps but feeling very relieved and keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you.

I'm a jan 28th filer and exactly 6 months and a day after filing we recieved notice of an RFE. The RFE arrived in the mail on August 3rd and it was a form about an IMB because we met on Ok Cupid. The definition of an IMB is very specific as to who paid a fee and for what. If you're nervous about getting an RFE for it, go ahead and write your dating site. Ask them if they are an IMB. You can include their response in your response/evidence in case you get one. In my case, USCIS simply sent a form and my lawyer advised us not to include additional evidence as they did not ask for it. We mailed it off on the 4th, they received it on the 5th and August 12th we were approved! The RFE did not delay us for a month or longer like others though each additional day sucks. 196 days from NOA1 to NOA2.

I grew up mins away from St Augustine. Its BEAUTIFUL. Getting an NOA2 has inspired me to move on with wedding details. I've taken to calling mine a "pop-up wedding". Whenever the government decides to end this, our wedding will pop up followed by a "real" one in 2017.

Best of luck and hope you hear good news soon!
