i cant wait praying to happen within the 6 month not more than that like people from january still waiting, truly sometimes i am so hopeful and other so down,

sometimes i wonder people from Philippine gets so fast and other so slow, hope to have it by maximum next week

really because it's NOT about the home country. I just think that there were many philippine approvals before because of the quantity of philippine k-1s.

I dont know what system of approval USCIS use...it is sooo random >_<

I'm finally done! took oath at DEC 2019 😁

Thanks! Ok so about NOA1 dates---I have never really figured this one out. So, here on Visajourney, we are instructed on our timelines to look at the hardcopy of the NOA, and type in the "notice date"

http://www.visajourney.com/images/noa-date.jpg

For me, that is February 19. However, my "received date" on NOA1 is February 17, and when I search on the USCIS case status webpage, it says "On February 17, we received...". And I'm pretty sure that that's what Immifairy is picking up. So on Immifairy, I'm Feb 17 and on Visajourney I'm Feb 19 and for USCIS, I guess I'm also Feb 17??? Who knows what they go by.

You won't be forgotten at all--I'm convinced that those late December folks had something going on with their applications. Like maybe not an RFE (which can be for just skipping a question or needing clairification or something), but like....having filed for a foreign spouse or fiance several times before, or have had multiple DUIs, or met through a marriage broker, or are first cousins or...who knows. The fact that every month only about 10% seems to linger well behind the rest of the pack to me means not that they manage to "lose" 10% of applications but about 10% of the applicant pool has some bigger issues going on.

VJ should change it to "Received Date" and "Notification Date" and get rid of date sent. Date sent doesn't really tell us anything because people send there's by different methods (USPS, Next Day, 2nd Day, and bla bla bla). I think the "received date" should be tracked as the NOA1 since that is what the USCIS website says. I believe the "Notification Date" is the date the hardcopy letter was printed.

Anyway, just a thought I had and just killing time while waiting for our NOA2.

yeah me too :( we cant do anything about it but to just helplessly WAIT.

My boyfriend tells me to just chill and don't expect anything.

I'm turning 30 this saturday... so if i received my approval this august it will be just sweet icing on my birthday cake, but then again no expectations *sigh*

on the brighter side: goodluck to everyone, I'm really happy that texas is doing feb now :)

My birthday is also on Saturday, I'll be 32. It would be a great birthday present if I received the approval. Hell even on her birthday of the 26th. I doubt they are that considerate. I'm tracking others similar number to my case, and someone a few numbers ahead of me shows they just barely sent an RFE notice on 8/11 after reviewing for 2 months. I have a fear I won't even be approved until near Christmas time.. :(:(:(:(:(

This whole process is ###### terrible. I disliked the gov. before, and this just strengthens my opinion of useless agencies that do little to help their people. It's like watching the EPA whom is supposed to protect the environment destroys an entire region by releasing toxic waste into the environment. (which is where we were planning to go for our honeymoon) :(

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

Congratulations!!! I am happy someone I follow got a NOA2 on August 11th. It was the day I predicted for us in March. Please keep letting us know how your journey progresses from here.

Thanks! I really do think that TSC is speeding up. The out-of-order thing is, of course, infuriating but there's nothing to do about that (I think they'd waste more time putting these in order than just going with this "boxes on the shelf" approach. I'll see if I can dig up that thread where this was sort-of explained....), but I think that they've got more people assigned to these, or something. There have been a lot more approvals in just this week alone. It won't be long.

Agreed. When you lose the motive for improvement and profit all forms of products go down the drain (see USSR 1946-1988). Government has no competition therefore has no incentive to get better.
