We received social security card.

By Sling in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

Should I put this number on the AOS forms? My wife is coming from the K1 status.

Vermont Service Center...

- Aug 14th - I-129F Arrived

- Aug 15 - NOA1

- Aug 17th - Check cashed

- Aug 18th - touched

- Aug 24th - touched

- Aug 29th - touched!

- Sept 1st - touched??

- Sept 1st - approved little later after being touched!!

- Sept 2nd - touched - sent stuff to NVC?

- Sept 6th - NVC Received my case

- Sept 12th - petition forwarded to embassy

- Sept 14th - embassy receives it

- Dec.. - passes interview! .. Arrived to the US!

- Jan 15th - got married in vegas!!

- Jan 26th - went to SS office to apply and change last name

- Feb 8th - Received SS card with new last name!

- Feb 19th - Chicago received my application - delivered

- End of May Interview

- Less than 2 weeks later. Green card in the mail!

Yes, wherever on the forms it asks for a social security number you put the number you have. Not everyone has a ssn when filing for AOS but since you do go ahead and put it on the forms.

02/13/2015 - NOA received

03/10/2015 - Biometrics

03/12/2015 - In-Line for Interview

04/09/2015 - E-notification for Interview Letter

05/18/2015 - Interview - passed!

It wont cause any delays at all, it is just another way to help identify a person like the A-Number

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

What makes you think it would cause delays? If she has a SSN and a form asks for it the you should put it, I can't see any possible reason this would cause delays. It's just one more identifying piece of information about your spouse. Were you thinking about just putting "none" where it asks for a SSN? That would be more of a possible reason for delays in my opinion since it's lying.

I don't think it really matters either way - I'd think a lot of people don't get the SS card before filing AOS. Like I said before, it's just another bit of identifying information but they already know who you are by your A number so really it doesn't make much difference that I can see if you do or don't have it.
