Hello,

For Japan Filers, Am I allowed to schedule an appointment now ? I mean I can book an appointment now coz I already paid the visa fee.

But I haven't receive the packet from the embassy yet. But they got our case last 9/5.

Do i need to wait for the packet 3 to set an appointment ? Thank you~

Although you can technically set the appointment, they won’t accept you unless you get the package and send them back the required documents. So I would wait for the package, or set the appointment month or so + ahead which you can change later. Meanwhile you can finish up the medical.

We got our interview date 8 days after being documentarily qualified. The interview was originally scheduled for only 4 weeks later so we actually rescheduled it a couple of weeks later so we could be sure to get the medical results. Your date should be coming very soon!

I think if it's too quick, then I need to arrange the medical now. But I agree that we can arrange the interview date for and no issue.

We filed last year April so that it took too long and I'm a little worry our case will be on the track as same as others , but I'll wait further notice.

I received an email from the National Visa Center last week stating that my wife's immigration visa application and documents are in order to proceed to the next step. I am currently waiting to hear back from about the interview date. I am just wondering what package you are referring to in your post. Should I be expecting something by postal mail?

I understand that I am supposed to bring the original documents that we had to submit online. If I am missing anything, any advice would be grateful.

Thanks!

Yes, you will need the originals to bring with you. It is also stated in the instructions on the CEAC's website.
