Hello again guys!

Congrats and good luck on everyone's interviews!

I finally got my NOA2, so hopefully I'll be having an interview sometime soon too~!

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice!

I'm not from Hawaii... but I'm from Alaska, which is almost as cool.

Oh, I forgot to ask... how long did it take to schedule your interviews once the US embassy received your cases? I know you have to make an appointment and they schedule you in wherever they feel like it. Were they pretty booked out? Did anyone have to wait a a month or more?

I just recieved the interview appointment letter from the NVC today. It is scheduled for the 17th of August. I plan on requesting a date in July, in part because I have seen that the K1/K3 visa interviews seem to get scheduled only 1 month out when scheduled at the embassy, but also becasue my wife is pregnant. Has anyone had success geting their CR1/IR1 interview moved up?

So... if you send them a request for an interview as soon as possible, they'll schedule you a month away?

About like that, maybe a little more than a month.

22nd interviews, how was it? Chiaki had hers and said it was really easy. She said some of the others were being asked a lot of questions, but they just asked her when she was planning on going to America and if I had a job and let her know that she was approved and to expect her visa in a week

Woo, finally the process is over :star:

Hope the rest of you had the same amount of success!

Thanks for the reply. . But thanks.

Arrgh, and the police won't give him the records until the embassy sends him the papers. I already knew that, but arrgh nonetheless.

Has anybody else had a problem with not having any shot records? He said that his mom threw them away because she didn't think that he would ever need them.

Congrats on the successful interview! Hope that her trip home is safe and swift.

We passed!

Whoohoo!

Anyway, congrats to the others who passed.

Our interview went pretty smooth. The interviewer asked a lot of questions, especially because I've lived in the U.S. all my life. Questions were pretty simple though. What language do we speak to each other? When do we plan to get married? What do I plan to do when I get there? What my mother thinks about it?... so on and so forth.

We got there a little before 8 and we were out at about 9:30. Its good to go early. First come first serve.

And I think I saw Johnny and Yumi there? Sorry it took me awhile to realize. I was super nervous about today. I hope things went well with you two!

Anyway, thanks for everyone's advice and support!

I should be going back to Hawaii with Bronson on July 7.

Good luck to everyone else who haven't gotten their interviews yet!

I requested the interview a month ahead and they gave me a reply the very next day! Though I think it varies on the day & person. But I think the U.S. embassy in Japan is very organized. Shouldn't be a problem.

Hey Akiko (and Bronson),

Congratulations!!! Glad to hear that everything went well (even without the wedding dress, lol). So I guess you will be getting married soon, and then you can wear that dress for real. So maybe we"ll see you here in Hawaii. Good Luck and Best Wishes. (F)

Hey Lauraandfrogger, when my wife went for the police records, she only needed to provide them with the NOA2. Maybe give that a try. It took two weeks from when she applied, but she got it with just an emailed copy. Good luck.
