It's quiet a while.

No, no, I only paid 15,000 for the missing vaccine. So, the total for my med. was 60,000.

See you at the interview.

I went to Tokyo Medical Clinic, just infront of Tokyo Tower. The service was good, no wait, but I paid 60,000 yen coz I was missing one vaccine. I was sweating in pain not because of the vacc. but because of the bill  , too expensive :crying:

60,000 yen for ONE vaccine? Ouch!!! :(

I feel for you, and boy do I hope we aren't missing that vaccine! :(

Do you know if it was just one or did they give you a combo of all of them?

Ahh, Ok. Well thats good to know. :)

We paid about 50,000 JPY and that was for same day results. But there was the shinkansen fee on top of that so it was actually more for the whole ordeal. :(

Still, at least its done. She had to get two vaccines and they said she was healthy. :)

See you at the embassy! :)

Actually of the, at least three, members who will be there at the same time I wonder if we will actually notice each other when we are there. I suspect we will all have a lot on our minds. lol :)

A huge relief, but now it feels like a post partum. After 16 months of waiting and waiting, there is nothing more to do than catch the flight next week. No more waiting, no more website checking, no looking for info, no more guessing. It's all pretty empty. Probably better so, but still we are not used to it. Just look at the passport with the visa all day long and look at each other saying "I can't believe it's over". Funny! I think it will all set in after we are off the ground heading home.

Well for a little while anyway, then you will have to deal with getting her SSN, drivers lic, Green Card (the physical one, which some here seem to be having issues getting), and of course don't forget life in general and the removal of conditions in a year and 9 months (if that applies to you). Don't worry, I am sure there will be plenty to keep you busy. :) And then there is also citizenship, if you decide to do that. :)

But at least you will be together! :D

Good points. Now it feels like the "good old" days again. Thanks for reminding me

Can't say, though, that I am looking forward to spending at least another $ 500.00 when

the removal of conditions is near in 2 years. It's an endless money pit. But, you are

right, we are together back in the states. But the two years living here in Japan was a

great experience as well. I will miss it, at least for a while. Tke care.

I think the fee for an AOS is around $1000 -1080. Thats AOS, EAD and AP combined I think, with another biometrics.... confusing stuff, I guess I will just do what the directions tell me to do.

I lived in Japan for 3 years. I loved it there. Really good and friendly people. My choice would be to stay in Japan, but I received orders back to the states :(

oh well, maybe again someday!

We arrived in Guam about one hour ago. My wife and I went through the U.S. citizen line, she with the big envelope in hand. We were passed along to secondary and processed. Just a question how long we were married, just to make sure that we were not entitled to a 10 year card yet. Fingerprints and an admonishment to make sure to apply for a removal of conditions before the two year anniversary ( of the admission stamp ). That was all. She was admitted as a spouse of a U.S. Citizen. By the way, the X-ray was not asked for. So, just a souvenir. Again I wish all of you best of luck.

I've heard people talking about going to their fiance's country for the interview. Is this necessary? Because there's really no way for me to do that....Does it improve the chances of the Visa being approved or is it more for moral support?

It's not necessary at all. I know many USC spouses go for their interview alone and successfully receive the visa in a day or two.

I (a USC spouce) will go by myself as well because my husband will move back to the US before my visa gets approved.
