The Seattle office is taking forever. There are people from last fall that are still waiting for interviews in Seattle. At the rate it's going in Seattle, you'll be lucky if your interview is scheduled before October.

Apparently, they had a bunch of interviewers retire or resign almost a year ago. And I read somewhere that the IOs can't do interviews until they've worked there for at least a year. So, maybe it will speed up a bit once that year has gone by, but don't hold your breath!

I'm just resigned to waiting until the fall to hear anything more. And if it happens any sooner ... :dancing:

Anyone from Seattle District Office March filers got their interview letter yet? :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I just checked my case status, and it says that yesterday, June 12, 2015, they scheduled me for an interview. Alrighty peeps, that means I should be getting my interview letter next week. Time to study my 100 questions, I guess!

Of course! In a nutshell, I passed and my interview lasted about 10-15 minutes. I'll share my experience and questions asked later tonight. :)

Marie! I am in Los Angeles, too! Mine is on the 26th. If you could share your experience too, it would be great!!! :)

08/2006- Met Hubby in College

10/2007- We moved in.

10/2008- We got married.

AOS

11/28/2008- Sent AOS Package (i-130, i-485, i-485a, i765, i-864, i693)

12/02/2008- NOA1

12/07/2008- RFE- Translation of birth certificate.

12/07/2008- Biometrics Appt for 01/03/2009, wondering if I will make to biometrics appointment since my Due Date was on 01/12/2009.

12/21/2008- Sent RFE

01/03/2009- Successful biometrics. (Had contractions throughout the whole appt.) Had my Son the same day after biometrics.

01/22/2009- EAD Approved

02/02/2009- Received EAD.

03/23/2009- Received appt for interview. 04/15/2009

04/15/2009- Interview lasted for less than 10 mins, and got approved! :)

ROC

02/02/2011- Sent ROC package.

02/07/2011- NOA1, checks cashed.

02/15/2011- Got Hard Copy of i797c

02/15/2011- Biometrics appt for 03/17/2011

04/25/2011- Received text that card is in production. :)

04/29/2011- Received Approval notice.

04/30/2011- Green Card in Hand! :)

I received my Oath Taking letter last Saturday. I am schedule to take oath on 06/18/15 (Thursday) at 12:30pm Heritage Theater in Campbell CA. Exactly 3 months since I sent my N400 application. Good Luck everyone!

I finally got my interview letter and they scheduled it for July 7th at 11:40am however I have to change it as its the same day I am flying to England. I'm hoping it doesnt hold things up to much. Just my luck though to get it the same day as my flight.

Hi,

just found this site when I was searching for information. I have my interview this Friday and am getting a bit anxious about things.... I know it probably won't be an issue, but it is a big thing to me... so I want to ace it like everybody else...

Normally I am a jeans, cowboy boots and shirt kinda girl, but I guess I will need to be in slacks and a (nicer) shirt this time.

Anyway, just figured I would let you know my timeline....

Sorry for the delay, but here it is. (I have been out-of-town on a work trip.) I had my interview last Friday, June 12, at the Los Angeles Field Office. I'm pretty familiar with the surrounding area, so driving there and estimating traffic was a breeze. There's a parking lot across the street for $16, but I went around looking for meter parking - no luck, so I ended up parking a block away for $6 instead. My appointment was at 11:30 am, and I walked into the building at 11:05am. There was no line to get in the building. I stood downstairs for a few minutes, just to review the questions all over again. I went up to the 8th floor, and got called in at exactly the time of my appointment. The officer lady was very friendly, and immediately made small talk with me as we walked into her office. As soon as we got into her office, she asked me to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth. After that, she had me sit down and told me that we are going to start with the test before we go over my application. She asked me to read: "Who lives in the White House?" Then, she asked me to write, " The President lives in the White House." She checked off a sheet in front of her, and marked the correct box. After that, she went on and asked me 6 civics questions, which I got all correct. The questions were as follows:

(1) What is one promise you make when you become a United States Citizen?

(2) Where is the Statue of Liberty?

(3) Who is the Governor of your state now?

(4) What movement tried to end racial discrimination?

(5) If both the President and Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

(6) There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.

Since I got them all right, she stopped there and counted the questions again. She marked something in her computer, and in the sheet in front of her she was writing exactly how I responded to the questions. She told me that I got them all right, and continued in her computer typing some stuff there. She then said that she will proceed asking me questions about my application, and that went smooth. My application was based on the 5 year rule, but still asked me about what my Husband did for a living. After we went through the whole application, she said that everything went well and continued to type on her computer. As she was typing, she started to converse with me about what I did for a living, she seemed a bit interested. After she finished typing, she went to her printer and gave me the notice that my application has been recommended for approval. Overall, the whole experience was very smooth. And, as of Monday, June 15, I have been placed in-line for the oath ceremony (no name change).

12/07/2008- Biometrics Appt for 01/03/2009, wondering if I will make to biometrics appointment since my Due Date was on 01/12/2009.

12/21/2008- Sent RFE

01/03/2009- Successful biometrics. (Had contractions throughout the whole appt.) Had my Son the same day after biometrics.

01/22/2009- EAD Approved

02/02/2009- Received EAD.

03/23/2009- Received appt for interview. 04/15/2009

04/15/2009- Interview lasted for less than 10 mins, and got approved! :)

ROC

02/02/2011- Sent ROC package.

02/07/2011- NOA1, checks cashed.

02/15/2011- Got Hard Copy of i797c

02/15/2011- Biometrics appt for 03/17/2011

04/25/2011- Received text that card is in production. :)

04/29/2011- Received Approval notice.

04/30/2011- Green Card in Hand! :)
