It is a well written article indeed. I hope to be able to read it in its entirety later. There should be no mistake that the author of the article has researched the content carefully. He knows the people who are ISIS. It's not a new ideology, and the sun does not rise and set on whether or not Obama says they are Muslim or not. Truly when they pray five times every day they are not concerned as to whether a few Americans understand them or validate them. They are driven by their god and nothing will come between them.

Cut the twitter feeds. Stop obsessing about them in the papers. Cut them off from social media. These things can and should be done. Make them irrelevant in our minds, not a daily threat to the world. Then quietly (unless you happen to be under a bomb) and militarily, eliminate them, not degrade, eliminate. Eliminate their ability to raise money, supply their "troops", to maintain control over their Caliphate and eliminate anyone who wants to stand and fight and slaughter innocents. Once the wheels start coming off I bet a lot will run the other way. But to give them first run Hollywood status every night on the news is exactly want they want!

I'm not sure its that easy to eliminate them given that the movement has occurred as a direct result of western military intervention. I'm also not sure i umderstand why the onus is on the USA to sort it out. If didn't work before so maybe a different approach is needed.

Absolutely not. But, it's an easy first step. Why give them all the free publicity? Part of terrorism is having an audience to terrorize. These are supreme PR guys. It's all part of their agenda.While not the U.S.'s sole responsibility, we certainly hastened the issue by showing up in 2003 and then leaving a divided non-functional nation (some nations may be better off with a dictator).

Not a forced blackout, but stop playing into their hands. It's not news, it's just terror meant to inflict mental injury. Some of these guys are real smart. Just stop giving them the stage they need. Just a thought.
