Downloading pdf forms for Adjustment of Status

Does the expiry date on the top-right corner of any of the downloadable forms on the USCIS website matter? If I download, fill out, and print a form and then sign and submit it after that date has passed, does that make it invalid?

I think most forms ask for the date you fill it out with your signature. If you fill out a form before it expires, and it expires after you mail it in then no it will not be invalid. If you fill it out and sign it after expiration date then yes it is invalid unless the USCIS state they are still excepting that version of the form

No it doesn't. A form can be expired and still be acceptable, especially if new forms have not been released yet. What matters the most is the EDITION date. The USCIS will have the updated forms on their website, as well as information regarding the edition date and whether or not previous editions are accepted.

For example, the I-485 page on the USCIS website says this:

Edition Date

06/20/13; (01/18/11, 11/23/10, 11/08/10; 7/15/10; 12/03/09 editions also accepted.)

The G-325A page (lately a common question since the form expires soon) says this:

Edition Date

02/07/13. Previous editions accepted.
