No Birth Certificate - SSLC Certificate OK?

Hello all!

My Indian fiance grew up in Kuwait and doesn't have a copy of his birth certificate. Packet 4 lists some alternative options and I am just wondering if you have had success with the SSLC certificate? Otherwise - other recommendations?

This was a recent change made by NVC...no review yet, you can try notarized affidavits from parents..

Well I had CR1 interview today and they asked my birth certificate but I have my SSC mark sheet I gave it to them. But they were reluctant to accept it as birth certificate. Then I said my H1B visa was based on this mark sheet as birth certificate. And my visa got approved
