While I was a P.R of Canada in 2003 I had to apply for a visit visa to go to see my spouse which was denied under section 214 b The CO was not convinced of my ties to Canada however the letter also said I was eligible to reapply for a visa when my circumstances change. I never attempted to visit USA instead my wife kept on visiting me. Now on the DS230 Part 2 it states have I ever been denied entry at POE. I had checkmarked NO since I had applied at the consulate and did not go to the POE first. (by the way i became a canadian citizen in 2005 and still have not visited usa since my last visa attempt as a PR)

My question is did i make a mistake in check marking NO and if so what is the best way of rectifying it OR since my interview is this month should I just explain to the CO and hope that he doesnt think I was misrepresenting or lying? Please help.

Thanks,

FaK
