Hi. I was wondering, is there anyone here who applied for k1 with a fiance in the PHILIPPINES with a receipt date Dec. 1-10, 2005? and a receipt #WACxxxxxxxxxx? I'm waiting for my NOA2 to arrive. I checked everywhere... my mail, uscis.gov case status online but still no signs yet. :( It's past the average 93 CSC days already and it's driving me crazy. I just wanna make sure I'm not alone and hopefully get some information if you guys got yours already since our receipt dates are close to each other? thank you very much. :help:

California Service Center is working on December now. If you look at their site, they show December 31, but haven't seen anyone with that date get their NOA2 yet, just early to mid December. Yours should be coming very soon now.

CSC has been very slow for the past several months. You can try calling them. Do you see you case at the USCIS online site? Good luck

You still aren't 30 days before their current processing date so they ask that you don't call them, but obviously you still can (I just don't know how far you'll get). Don't worry, you are still well within the normal timeframe of waiting for NOA2.

I sent my application in November 2005 to CSC and this was received Nov 14. I never received NOA1 though I did get my case number from the back of my check. I have heard nothing further since despite registering for email notification. I called USCIS and spoke to a very friendly person but he could not find out much more information other than the case was still pending. He said that there had been some kind of glitch that prevented some of the NOA1 receipts being sent out in November. Regarding NOA2 he said my application might be sitting on a case officer's desk with a 100 other applications ahead of me. I donlt know whether he was just being jocular but it's now 120 days as near as damn it since I applied - the upper end of the amount of time NOA2 is supposed to take. Very frustrating.

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie here and thought i'm alone waiting for our NOA2 :( Got our NOA1 on Nov. 25, 2005 and still waiting to hear from them..My fiance emailed CSC last time but I just hope that was not a "canned" response.... Here's the reply he got:

The petition is with an Officer for processing, please allow 30 days for this processing to occur.

Thanks,

I'm from Manila, Philippines. It takes a few months before you receive your NOA2. My fiance sent application for my petition on April 2005. He received NOA1 on June 2005 Then he received NOA2 on July or August 2005( can't really remember). I received my K1 packet this January 2006, had my medical then interview on January 23. So it takes approximately 6 months before i received my packet after NOA2. It takes a lot longer for some. It just depends on how busy the US Embassy in Manila is and I can tell you that its busy everyday.

I remember watching a show on tv and they interviewed a consul and he said that they enlarged their office for visa applications because the lines at the gate are long and you can never enter the embassy without an appointment letter these days. So I guess all i can tell you is to be patient. I know how hard it is to wait for my packet to arrive when all you want to do is be with the one you love.

Tell your fiance that when he receives the K1 packet that he has to fill up the forms. Make sure that everything is answered and some with a "NONE" or "N/A" if the questions are not applicable.Make sure that his picture is attached to the form or else if he's in line he has to fall in line all over again if his picture is not attached. Make sure to bring all the requirements and also bring pictures, letters or telephone call records between the 2 of u as evidence. Also tell him to go as early as he can before the appointment time and relax when being interviewed 'cos the consuls here are very suspicious even though your intentions are true. The lines at the gate are very long and it takes a while to go through security.

GOODLUCK!
