Birth Certificate for country of Origin?

Timeline

I am a US citizen and don't have birth certificate from my country of origin which is Cambodia. I am worried that i need to have one. Anyone who if i need one or not since i am already a US citizen a long time ago?


I forgot to mention that all of our family documents were lost or burned during the war.

Timeline

When you file the I-129F petition, you need to prove US citizenship. You can do that with a copy of every page of your US passport or a copy of your naturalization certificate.

That should suffice for the consulate as well when your foreign fiance(e) interviews for the K-1 visa. You can always contact the consulate and ask them just to be certain.
