Record of crossing into the US-CAN via Windsor-Detorit

I'm wondering, since there's obviously a record as to when me and my SO have crossed over into each other's countries, is there any way to get this record? And wouldn't it be easy to look up if US Immigration wanted to? (we haven't filed anything yet, therefore no timeline)

I am from Windsor and my fiance is from Michigan. We have a Nexpress toll card so we used that record which was online in our submission. I don't think you'd be able to get this from customs, but you could always ask the border patrol guy or woman when you are crossing if this is possible. Worst case they will say no!

You can also contact US customs at http://www.cbp.gov/. You can call or email (I emailed as I was in no hurry. They got back to me in a week or so). Not sure of the Canadian link.

We have crossed several times since we've filed and now approved with no issues at all. They don't ask us anything fiance related. I really wonder if it's even in their system or it is and they don't care.

Land crossings? If you are citizens, no. Obviously your entry is recorded, but but your return isn't reconciled.

So if you enter the US and then return to Canada, Canada doesn't share with the US when you returned.

I can't speak for sure about what the US shares with Canada. Also not sure the above changes if using the Nexus card.

Again, I stress that this only applies to citizens and land crossings. Air travel entries and exits are reconciled, and non-citizens' (visitors and permanent residents) land entries and exits are reconciled. Entry/Exit reconciliation was supposed to be rolled out for citizens as well in summer of 2014, but they decided not to do it. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/border-agency-backs-down-on-cross-border-data-bank-1.2686791

You can make a FOIA request through Customs and Border Protection but mine took 5 months to receive. Although it was mostly accurate, it was missing a trip or two and had dates of entry only. It also stated which land crossing I used. I hadn't applied for a Nexus card yet at the time I made the request so I couldn't tell you if they list passport vs Nexus entries.

This was part of a question I asked earlier, a little light reading:

I'm not sure this is entirely accurate. They are working together to reconcile everything. I can't remember where I read it but I know I did. They are tracking our ins and our outs and sharing them with each other now. Now I'll spend the next hour trying to find what I was reading!

Yes, all land crossings. I received my Nexus card a while back but I was crossing well before that time with my passport. We alternate weekends and it's been a year and a half, so I've land crossed over there roughly 40 times or so. Sometimes the Nexus booth isn't open so I use the regular booth with my passport too.

It seems like I have plenty of time to request a record of most of our crossings to date so I'll look into all that- thanks!!
