Thanks....funny thing is I can see a package on DHL that left for La Paz Bolivia, but the CEAC web-site never shows my case status, says invalid case.

Yes, that's odd.... ours still says NVC but two packs are on their way to our embassy. I'm not sure about the status updates and when you call, they just read the same information as we do. The fact that yours says 'invalid case' is even more confusing.

I guess we will know more in a few days... hopefully if they are still at NVC they wont be for long.

Maybe the person on the phone misspelled your case number.. You should try calling NVC again and also make sure it's valid on the CEAC before you hang up.

I just got off the phone with NVC, apparently I had the wrong prefix to my case number....I had LTZ and the the actual is LPZ, I guess since I speak with a kind of heavy NY accent the T and P sound the same, therefore when I originally verified and later called 2 more times the customer service reps heard my T as a P and were able to bring up my case.

I now can see it on CEAC, and its still at NVC.

We have the same NOA2 date of 3/10. My case was then sent to NVC on 3/16. I called today and the woman I spoke to confirmed that the case is with them but she said she would need to transfer me to a "visa specialist" if I wanted to receive more information such as case #, beneficiary ID etc. (is this normal??) I got excited and of course said YES! Please transfer me! She transferred me and I was on hold when the line got disconnected out of nowhere!! Ugh. Just my luck!

I've tried calling again since then but get the usual message that all their representatives are busy and to call back later. I would try again if I were you. The 35 days doesn't seem to be set in stone so anything is possible.

Good luck!!! :)

Thank you!!! The man I spoke with was very short and impatient, almost sounded robotic. Maybe in a day or 2 I will call back!! Good luck to you as well. :)

I just got off the phone with them and the lady I spoke to (she was awesome!) gave me all 3 numbers: case, beneficiary and invoice. She said they had JUST received the case and it was going thru AP. I don't know which date your case went to NVC but I'm guessing it should be very soon before you can get all the info as well. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully this gruesome process will be over soon for all of us :)

Thank you! Just checked and it was sent 3/16, I thought it was sooner than that. Hopefully a few more days.

I have a question so when you all call NVC, does it have to be petitioner(american citizen) to call or can it be petitoner or beneficiary?

Either can call as long as you have the birth dates of each person

Oh mine was sent on the 16th as well. It's probably just a matter of them not having put your case in the system yet =) I was told mine was JUST received/setup.

I think it can be either. You will need the receipt # (SRCXXXXXXXX), name & date of birth of beneficiary, and name & date of birth of petitioner.

I was never asked if I was the petitioner or the beneficiary, so I'm guessing either one is fine. Good luck! :)

So we just called NVC for the first time and it said waiting time to talk to customer service is 40mins.

Should we wait for 40mins or hang up and call again or call another time??
