I am trying to find out from the other member if the passports are mailed back with the visa or picked up, if she says picked up, then I am hoping that is the point of going back on Monday.

That sounds hopeful. However, if it is to go back and collect the passport, what a cruel thing to do to make a person wait in anguish for days instead of just saying that they are approved. I will make a point of checking back to check on you guys anyway :)

The information I reported yesterday was based on text messages, and I think we all know how they can be unclear and misinterpreted.

I finally talked to my Fiance last night, as I do every night, and it appears that the person giving her the interview was new at giving an interview or was set on giving a denial, because all he did was focus on an overstay whose penalty has expired 4 years ago. It seems that he didn't even look at any of the paperwork, he said there was no evidence, no photos, etc., he tried to verify my fiance's country of birth several times but he kept saying the wrong country and she had to correct him, if he had looked at the paperwork or even had it in front of him he would of known he was incorrect. All that he did was bring up her past visas on the computer and tried to go from there. I think because of that he only asked about the overstay, and mentioned a waiver, which is not needed because the penalty for the overstay has expired.

Finally at some point two other employees came out, one of which I have been emailing back and forth with questions as she recognized my finances case and mentioned the emails, they intervened and re-scheduled the appointment for Monday.

So, hopefully the interview on Monday will go a lot better, and she will have someone who looked at the case and knows what they are doing, hopefully the person I've been emailing.

Since I got packet 3 a month ago...

Nothing really has been changed actually.

Reason is cos my fiancé hasn't got his tax paper yet....he sent it a few weeks ago but still haven't got it which make us irritated actually.

I got police record so as long as I get paper works from fiancé I'll go take medical checkup and the interview.

Hopefully it'll be over soon for real.

Second Interview was yesterday. This time is was a regular interview, but out of the normal for this embassy, according to the embassy reviews the interview usually takes place from 5-10 minutes through a walk-up window. Yesterday the interview took place sitting in a room with two interviewers. For some reason they are having a hard time believing the legitimacy of our relationship, they went as far calling me on the phone to ask me questions, and some were personal in nature. I found out later that they had asked my fiance the same questions prior to calling me, the good thing is we have nothing to lie about so our answers were 98% the same. They did keep her passport(s) again, and told her they would call her if they had any further questions. Just to clear up any doubts they may still have I wrote the consular last night explaining briefly with much detail the nature of our relationship, how it started, what we did and what it was like when I visited her, things to convince them that the relationship is legit. I don't know why they are having a hard time believing us, I can understand if there was a big age difference between us, but there is not, we are both divorced and in our forty's, its not like its an older guy trying to marry a 19 year old, our lives are about the same, no generation gap or anything, I really thought since we are so similar that this would be the least thing for them to need convincing on.

I thought he could use a copy of his W2 and 1040 tax return form, which he should have a copy immediately upon filing his taxes no need to send for those, I guess he sent for his transcript. If the embassy allows you to use the W2 and 1040 in place of a transcript I would think that he can just scan those documents and send them to you via email, unless a wet signature is required.

A W2 form is a report of your taxable wages that you made for the year and is given to you by your employer no later than the end of Janauary of each year. The 1040 form is what you use to file your reported taxes to the goverment. You fill out the 1040 using the information from the W2 form. The 1040 form can be filled out by an individual or by a tax service, either way when the 1040 is filled out there are usual two copies made one is sent to the government and the other is given to you. There is no waiting to get the 1040 other than the time it takes to fill it out, I do my own taxes and it takes about an hour to fill.
