Oh ok !!

Thank you for helping.

I'm waiting for all the papers to come in then I can make an appointment for medical then finally interview !!!

Whewwwww almost there.

Good luck everyone.

Hey, how does it work with Tokyo Embassy, my fiancee she is going to go there. Do you get to pick the interview date? Did you have this info with your packet 3? Or do you send it in and then wait for them to issue the date? Really want to know the whole process after Packet 3 in tokyo and I can't find the info anywhere.

After she get instruction from embassy, she needs to make DS-160 online and then make her profile.

After that she needs to prepare for stuff on check list.

This is URL for checklist and it's in Japanese so if you wanna see in English you can change language too.

After that she get on your profile that she made online and pay fee then make an appointment for her interview.

It'll be sometime on Monday in Japan time.(they will decided what's the date)

Instruction that she will get is in English and Japanese so I'm sure she won't have trouble reading or understanding stuff.

I'm fiance by the way so I'm Japanese. If she or ofcourse you need help, we can help each other .

Good luck and tell her I said good luck too :)

Hope we get visa soon real soon !

The trick is to just keep hitting radial, it should only take 4 or 5 redials before you get through..you will know because the message will slightly change and allow you to pick an option.

Also it will ring first when you get through. When I didn't get through it would go automatically to the automated message about large volume of calls.

Yes. It took me a while to realize this, but it's helpful information when you're bruising your finger on that redial key.

Funny thing is there were several times when I tried repeatedly and then when it did ring, i went straight through to an agent, bypassing the options menu entirely. The only time I was on hold was when I tried first thing in the morning and both times I did that it was around a 30 minute wait. Best time for me was early afternoon, eastern time.

Thank you guys for the tips! really think we learn from the best. :dancing: We will keep trying tmr. :D

Cool Thank you so much. Do keep your timeline updated both her and I are trying to figure how much time it takes from submission of packet 3 to getting an interview date. Thanks again for the advise/ heads up. We are hoping we get an NVC number soon.

Hey guys! I just received a letter NVC. It says "The National Visa Center (NVC) received your spouse's approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS). The NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in LAGOS. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or consulate will contact your spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition." It also said go to http://nvc.state.gov/k3to learn how to apply for a k visa and prepare for the visa interview. Also contains our case number, USCIS receipt number, applicant's name, petitioner's name and interview location. When I saw the word spouse and k3 I was confuse, so I called the NVC and was connected within 2mins to an agent to whom I explained that I filed k1 visa. She said is same thing, that I should make sure my fiancé takes the letter with him to the interview. Oh boy! You should have seen my face when I opened the letter I thought they made a mistake. What a relief! I am still waiting on the reply to the email I sent to the Consulate to inquire about the interview date. I am really missing him and I can't wait for him to be here.?

Good luck to everyone..

What fantastic news, Amachuma! Yeah, the being apart really sucks. We've been fortunate in that we were able to squeeze in two short visits since we filed last summer, but even so, not being together has by far been the hardest. Had we been together through this process, the wait would barely have mattered.

Soon, very soon, you will be together. Do you have an interview date yet?

Yeah! Very soon we all will have a happy ending. No. I don't have an interview date yet. But I am waiting for reply to the email I sent to the Consulate yesterday asking about the interview date. Since my Fiancé paid for the visa yesterday at the GT Bank. Hopefully they will reply back by tomorrow.

At least your consulate replies. Ours has no phone number for immigrant visa inquiries and when I sent a message on their contact link today (the only way to reach them) there was a little note there - in red font, if you don't mind - stating that they will not respond to any messages if it is less than 8 weeks since your approval date.

Was there an update on your CEAC status today?

Yes, they are very good at replying between 2 to 3 days. CEAC? Updated 4/7/15 to "Ready".. Your Consulate is London right?
