Curious to know how many received notification from NVC on their case number? If not, was using the ceac notification stating "ready" adequate for medical?

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

This might be country specific. I just wrote mine down for them. They didn't ask for proof at the medical (still not received the letter), but I would imagine policy varies by medical center. Check on the Philippine section for the forum first.

My status just turned from "In Transit" to "Ready". I realize this is country specific, but did you get instructions (Packet 3/4) via email or snail mail? I will be getting in touch with the Mumbai consulate soon, but just curious about what happens once your file is "Ready" at the country consulate.

I got my through the email. My advice will be to always communicate with the Consulate via email they respond faster this way. Good luck

I have question.

What is exactly packet 3 and packet 4?

I got one package from embassy....

Is it packet 3 and 4?

Packet 3 are things like DS 160, I-134, police report, paying ur visa fee. Packet 4 is ur medical and actual interview date issued.

That's good news. It means it's on its way to the embassy.

It seems that some embassies have the interview date assigned while the file is still at NVC and is only sent out once an available date and time has been secured. Others pass through quickly and the embassy deals with everything from that point. This is why things become very regionally specific once your petition is approved. Not all countries follow the same procedure.

The time is coming closer, checked my case and it shows in transit n that NVC has provided the interview date, i thought that was been provided by the embassy, so am i right with the thought

Mine said the same thing about the interview date, but I think that is a generic message that goes to all. The date was provided to me in Packet 4.

The trick is to just keep hitting radial, it should only take 4 or 5 redials before you get through..you will know because the message will slightly change and allow you to pick an option.

Also it will ring first when you get through. When I didn't get through it would go automatically to the automated message about large volume of calls.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Yes. It took me a while to realize this, but it's helpful information when you're bruising your finger on that redial key.

Funny thing is there were several times when I tried repeatedly and then when it did ring, i went straight through to an agent, bypassing the options menu entirely. The only time I was on hold was when I tried first thing in the morning and both times I did that it was around a 30 minute wait. Best time for me was early afternoon, eastern time.
