Timeline

I received the hardcopy of my NOA2 yesterday, however I still haven't received anything saying that my case has been sent to the NVC. My NOA2 date is April 6. Should I be worried? Looking at wbeem's timeline, it seems like things have moved pretty fast for him. So far, I haven't called anybody or have done anything.

I am on the same boat. My NOA2 is April 3. The hardcopy doesn't say anything regarding the next steps to take and it mentioned "listed consulate" but there is none.

8/28/14:I-129F sent

9/4/14: $340 check posted to my bank account

9/5/14: email and text acceptance confirmation received

9/8/14: online status shows Alien Registration Number changed

9/12/14: Form I-797C received in the mail

4/7/15: Got text message and email saying the case was approved

4/9: Form I-797 received in the mail

4/13: Got text message and email saying the case was sent to the Department of State for visa processing

4/20: Called NVC and was told they just received it today

4/22: Called NVC, no case# yet

4/27: Called NVC, got case#, invoice# and beneficiary id#

Congratulations!

That's great news. So nice to see all this activity for August filers now. August feels like a long time ago. Oh, wait - it was!

Good luck to you.

Thank you both!

I opened Packet 4 to see what is needed for the interview and I notice there isn't anything pertaining to the financial responsibility of the petitioner (I-134, W2s,1040, pay check stubs, letter from employer, bank statements), so I wrote the consulate/embassy to inquire about it, I'd hate for my fiance to show up at the interview and not have all the documentation, the consulate/embassy wrote me back and confirmed that none of that is needed at the petition stage.

I guess it depends on the consulate/embassy of the country where the interview takes place. I know we will need it at the AOS stage, but still it saves me from gathering all those documents right now.

It was A productive day for me....went to police office and order my record. Prepared for all pictures for interview and medical check....filled out DS-160....omg it took so long to answered and finished all the questions;;;

Now I'm having hard time take digital photo for DS-160 tho....;;

But so Glad to hear everyone's case is moving forward :)

We had a difficult time with the pic as well we just kept trying with different lighting and background and after about 10x we finally got i. Good luck

Received our Packet 4 today and Interview appointment date via Email. (Bolivia is different they only do Packet 4 no Packet 3).

Same at the Kingston embassey packet 3 is just the interview letter. Our interview is scheduled for May 1st. Surprisingly they had interviews as soon as next Friday but that would be cutting it close with medical so we pushed it out a few weeks. Good luck

We really didn't' have a choice, packet 4 came with an interview date assigned, April 30th, and it just said show up then. I guess if we really had to we could of called, but we just want to get the interview over, done with, and be together already.

I'm honestly not sure what to do at this point. Our packet is at the embassy (London) but we are at a standstill. We cannot get the police cert completed as my fiancé cannot get anyone to endorse it. His dr won't as technically he (the dr) is not a legal British citizen. He has no one on the list. He's called about it but was told he needs an endorser. So worried.

How long does the police cert take?

He has no one? Pretty much anyone can endorse! Don't get swayed by the list - it says "people of the listed occupation or similar"

They do not have to be British - can be anyone from anywhere in the world!

It takes about 10d to get the certificate back - I got mine in February. Back then I thought I would have my NOA-2 quick - haha, how stupid that was. Thankfully police certs should be good 1 year.

So maybe a neighbor, friend or someone? We are both so stressed. He knows ppl in the occupations but all are related to him. I just want to get things moving ugh!

Pretty much - I used a friend.

Don't let this stress you out, this is the easiest part of the process.

Teacher maybe? Bank worker he knows? Heck, his hairdresser?
