Your transit through NVC went pretty quickly... great news !! Suddenly everyone is busy and things are moving fast.. :D

It was surprisingly very fast yes! It stayed at NVC for only 2 days!

I think the general consensus on VJ is to wait at least 10 days(business days I believe) before calling NVC and also to ignore the 35 day wait time that is stated in the recorded message when calling.

The NVC number to call is: 603-334-0700 you will need: SRC receipt number from USCIS Name and Date of Birth of Beneficiary Name and Date of Birth of Petitioner There open until Midnight.

Yes, NVC is so different to TSC. Thank goodness for that. Aside from the weekend in between, ours only sat for two working days as well. The agent who gave us our numbers actually said that they won't hang onto cases like this and they try get them out within a couple of days. He was right.

Oh, he seemed very clearly to be referring to I129F petitions. I presume specifically those like ours, where the consulate assigns an interview date, rather than those that stay at NVC for the interview appointment to be made. Some of them spend longer at NVC for this part of the process and are quicker at the embassy. Our embassies both take over the work on our case as soon as we have a case number and other related references assigned.

Did any of you already payed the fees? I'm not sure at what point I should do it.

We haven't paid yet because our case is still in transit. I think that we have to wait for it to arrive at the embassy before we can submit the DS160 and pay the fees. I'm hoping we will be able to do this before our medicals at the end of the week, but we will have to wait and see.

I have completed our DS160 applications online and saved them, but not submitted them yet. Your embassy may work differently so I don't want to give you incorrect guidance on this.

And it's been so fast, too. I said to William last night, after the void at TSC for so long, we have had something to report almost every day since our case got sent to NVC. And we weren't consciously watching that because I was with him from the day after approval and our case shipped the day I got back. It's just awesome :)

Planning our wedding now. Finally :D

ok got all the numbers from NVC BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THEM PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ASAP

Congratulations on getting your numbers.

If you go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx and enter your number - the one that starts with 3 letters - you can track where your case is. It may take a few hours to start working on this site, but it should say it's at NVC. You can then see when it leaves for the embassy and when it arrives there.

The other numbers are used later on when you apply for the visa with the DS160 and when you pay for it.

how do you know when the case is sent to NVC? I was stuck in TSC for so long that I didn't bother to read up on what to do after receiving an NOA2. The only thing I am aware of is that I need a case #. I got my NOA2 last night. Should I be worried about following up on something immediately?
