Just to be clear...this is where our fiancé applies correct?

Yes, this is the DS160.

Choose "England, London" (I spent ages hunting for United Kingdom on there!) and you can complete it in draft and save it with a security question. It generates a retrieval number and it stays in there for access by you to amend for 30 days. Each time you go in it starts the 30 days again. There is a separate place where you pay for the application.

The DS160 is the actual K1 visa application form. Get coffee and cookies. It takes a while!

How thoughtful of them..haha. I think the biggest relief for me is that I know where it is.. at last, and it hasn't disappeared in a pile of paper in Texas or Boston. I'm not totally sure how our process works as I've read different things but I called about the medical a couple of weeks ago and they wont do it until I have the instructions from Packet 3.

I guess for once you're almost hoping Monday isn't a holiday !

No holiday today.....mine has been signed for and delivered to the Embassy this morning!

Hey guys! after the DS 160 fee. What other fee do we have to pay?

Unless you have to pay courier fees for delivery of the visa, the next expense is a bottle of champagne to celebrate your approval after the interview.

Cannot wait for this! I'm sure you both can't either :)

Michael is currently waiting for his Police report, which should arrive this week (fingers crossed). He also got some of his vaccines on Saturday and will get the remainder this Saturday - they didnt want to vaccinate for 7 things in one day. He got MMR and will get Tdap, as hes already had chicken pox.

So, only thing to wait on now is the NOA2. I've been watching your dates wbeem as we are about a 6 weeks apart in timing :) Still trying to get him here by mid- Aug. Your fast medical date made me happy, and it looks like London moves pretty fast too. Any ideas when you think the interview will be?

Quite right! We've all done much more waiting than we should have. It's time to be with our fiance(e)s as soon as possible.

It's good that Michael is getting all these things done now. I actually did ours in December expecting we'd be approved by late January, but we weren't.

As you are in the UK, watching the timescales in signatures and timelines seems to be quite consistent and for once, a reliable guide. I have been following Curlies who is one day ahead of us and so far, all our updates have come a day after theirs. The only variant here is that their case was shipped on Friday and there is a weekend that comes into play in between but otherwise, it's been fairly consistent so far. Same for a few who are a couple of days behind us. It's good to be able to check these boxes on our timeline at last!

Our pack has had to wait over the long Easter weekend and due for delivery this morning at the embassy. I've never tracked anything with DHL...wow what a system! I checked on the medical a couple of weeks ago and they wont do it without the details from the embassy, but they can do it either same day or the next so that's no problem. So now waiting for the arrival of Pkt 3... I can't believe we are finally at this point.

All the best to everyone for the coming few weeks... lots going on out there. :D

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

That's great news, finally!

So it looks like your biggest wait after approval is with NVC and then things move fast. Ours is expected to breeze through NVC but our embassy then takes over and there are usually several weeks between the medical and the interview. They can count on me bugging them daily to step on it though.

So pleased for you after this ridiculously long wait, that things are about to get moving :)

thank you so much. I can't wait to celebrate with VISA in hand. I just realize the more the time is getting closer the more I am missing him so much ( my love). Does anyone feel the same way? Our case still says "in Transit".

Yes, I feel the same way. I think I've had to freeze my emotions for quite a while now just to get through and once we got Noa2 it became much more difficult, each step seems to take so long, but really its all pretty quick now. I'm watching the tracker get the papers to the embassy today. It sure is a journey.

You'll be together soon... so exciting.

Hey guys,

Quick question, after it gets shipped to NVC, how long does it take to get your case number, and how do you find out, is it a letter or email? Also, is this the same as your embassy case number?

We called. It took about a week from when it was sent to NVC until they had our case number.
