I had to call the hotline of usvisa-info (website we have to log in to book an apointment for an interview) to get a simple answer about the payment of the fees. The person I had online was very confused about the process and didn't believe me when I told her that I had to book the interview online. I belive that the process used to be diferent but clearly it changed now and I don't know for you guys but I can speak for France. We receive instructions in the packet 3, telling us to book an apointment (we chose the date online) and pay the fees on usvisa-info.

The person I had online was not only not answering my question about the payment but was misleading me. She told me to contact the embassy and that they would be the ones to set the apointment and that it was the only way. She was rude and only had outdated informations. I tried to explain to her that there had been changes and that it didn't work like that anymore and she was just denying it. I hanged up and called again and got someone who had updated and helpful informations.

Long story short, if you have a problem with the website and you call them, all employees aren't very awware of how things work so do not hesitate to call back.

This is absolutely ridiculous, I remember after paying the fees online that the TWO only dates available were in late April and couldn't pick anything in May. Try calling the embassy +33 1 43 12 22 22

Yes, I will wait for the consulates response, depending on what they say I may call USCIS, then I will call my cousin, she is an immigration attorney in New York.

So sorry to hear you are going through this also. As if the journey isn't arduous enough. I hope it is resolved quickly and you don't need to go down this path also. Watching to see some better news for you..

Quick question for everyone, when you got your NOA2/approval did yours have a watermark and say United States of America up top? I got my NOA2 but it looks like a basic copy... I had an attorney which I have fired so I was worried she might have this "original" copy. I called USCIS and they said they don't send out the forms with the water markings anymore? I just want to make sure I have all proper documentation! Thanks everyone!

It's not white paper - it's more of a pale gold color, if I recall correctly. I can check when I get back from work later. I didn't even know to look for a watermark, but I will check ours as it came straight from USCIS in the mail to the mailbox.

For our case we paid the $265 thru usvisa-info for Bolivia and now the embassy in Bolivia tells me that we need to pay the day of the interview, even after sending them our receipt and registration confirmation.

What a rip off.

I emailed them first, asked where to pay, online or at interview, they told me to hold off on paying online and to pay in person. That's a cash transaction, I wonder if something shady is going on.

I'm so sorry to hear what's happening to you, it makes me mad. These people need to stop playing games and should have the ####*ng courtesy of giving you further details. I hope everything gets resolved soon. Keep us posted

Thanks guys.

I am still awaiting for them to tell us the exact reason..I emailed them, my fiance emailed them, and still no answer. She even went to the embassy in which she spoke with someone from the consular section only to be told all questions are answered in an email. The case remains in the "READY" status on CEAC. Trying to think positive and since I explained to them what I think happened I am hoping they are investigating further and find that they made a mistake.

I don't know if anyone realizes the implications they are making results in a BAN FOR LIFE to enter the US for my fiance.

I was thinking of you guys this afternoon and wondering if you had heard anything back yet. Do they give you a timescale in which they are going to respond to you?

It was pretty much because of Golden Week(holidays week) in Japan last week.

Be patient is what I suggest.

Our case has been stuck at NVC for 3 weeks now. I called and got all 3 numbers, they said it should get sent overseas pretty soon but... here we are, still playing the waiting game. As if almost 8 months for a NOA2 wasn't enough. :clock:
