came in a k1 visa in early June 2014, everything went smoothly, applied for adjustment of status end of June 2014, biometrics done in july, got EAD and Advanced parole early September 2014. Ever since then, nothing. On the Uscis website the message I get is STILL "On June 27, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status". No movement in quite some time. Is this normal? How do I know if my application is still at the "MSC" or at my local office? How do I find out if my application is lost somewhere in the piles of applications at the NBC? Is there any way to find out?

Sure this has been asked many times but so much info on here that I am having a difficult time pinpointing the info I really want.

Yep, the message you have received from the USCIS website is the same/similar as ours for our ROC petition, sent in August 2015; and countless similarly situated others that are currently stuck in USCIS "limbo." The whole antiquated and rickety USCIS system is currently over capacity. Just take a look at any of the various VJ forums and notice the common thread....everybody is waiting.... and waiting....

You can make an InfoPass appointment inquiry about any progress on your application, or you can contact your Federally-elected representatives and ask them to inquire about the progress on your application, or you can just wait (like A LOT of people are doing).

YMMV,

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Unfortunately, some are having to wait 10-12+ months for AOS approval. You can check in the progress report threads to see similar timelines to yours.

You can also renew your EAD/AP if you need to, again with no fee. Be sure to include a copy of your I-485 receipt notice.

Is this true? We are in the process of filing for a EAD renewal, but I thought we had to pay $380.00.

My wife and I married in January 2014 and applied for AOS shortly thereafter. We are still waiting. USCIS has told us to wait another 180 days due to "delays."

Yes, they are renewable, and no fees for the forms as long as you have a pending I-485, which is category (c )(9 )-adjustment applicant.

From the I-765 instructions, Page 8 >

Renewal EAD: If this is a renewal application and you are

applying under one of the following categories, a filing fee is

not required:

1. (a)(8) Citizen of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, or Palau;

2. (a)(10) Granted Withholding of Deportation;

3. (c ), (c )(4), or (c )(7) Dependent of certain foreign

government, international organization, or NATO personnel;

4. (c )(9) or (c )(16) Adjustment applicant who applied after

July 30, 2007.
