Does anybody have information on how fast a visa can be ready after k1 interview. I understand it can be picked up at the Mall a few business days later. Thank you for your time!

It's different for each case, but for my my case...got interviewed Feb 2 and the status in ceac changed Issued after 8 days. Then I had it delivered in my house and I got the visa packet after 2 working days.

No one can tell you the date you'll receive your visa. Each case, as well as yours, will continue through the process after your interview and if they find something that needs additional scrutiny, then it can take longer. Normal processing after the interview with no hiccups has been running about 5-10 business days but we have seen some go as long as 6 months.

Yes, Mall pickup can shave some time off by about two to three days and it all depends which way the wind is blowing.

It depends how soon your visa is actually ISSUED. The visa itself is not always issued right away after the interview, it can go into a form of administrative processing (AP) until the visa is actually issued. You can check your CEAC status and it will tell you if your visa status is issued.

Once it is issued, it is usually available for pickup at MOA a few days later.

The forever asked question.. with no actual answer. Each case is different as is the timeline for completing the process.

Keep checking the CEAC and USTRAVELDOC websites daily, when you see ISSUED you are a few days away from the visa actually being printed in the passport and prepared for pickup by 2GO ...

Wish it could be faster, right?

They're right. I;ve seen a lot of posts asking the same question and none of them have a definite answer.

My parents visa status says "Issued" on the day of their interview which was 02/18, it was touched on 02/19, but no luck with 2go status yet. And the USTRAVELDOCS still says, the visa is still in the embassy.

At least interview is out of the way. If you didn't receive 221g after the interview, it should be within a couple of weeks as long you don't see AP in CEAC status.

Anywhere from 3 days to 3 months, assuming no problems. The average seems to be 3 weeks. And as hard as we try, we can't seem to see any rhyme or reason why some are fast and some are slow.

One thing you can do to speed it up is choose the right delivery option, that one being to pick it up yourself at the Mall of Asia. You can save several days doing it that way.

Follow the CEAC website. You will see one of three things: READY, ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING, or ISSUED. It may shift between READY and AP more than once or twice, so don't worry if you see it. That is normal. Once you see ISSUED you are almost home.

Interviewed 14jan, Issued 4feb, picked up at moa 6feb.

A ballpark range for fiancées with no interview issues (221g) could be 2-3 weeks or at least 10 business days.

Perhaps doing a Monday interview could trim your time down to waiting through only one weekend as that will give the embassy 5 business days on either side of that one weekend to process the visa. That's just speculation though.

My simple minded observation from what i read here in VJ is that spouses and fiancées pregnant or with children tend to get approved slightly faster if they have no interview problems.

Your question can only get guesses for answers.
