Hi there,

Did anyone bring over their medical records for their new family doctor?

As well, I think with AOS there is a need for medical, correct? If so, what does that entail? Same like the 'medical' that we did before the interview?

I didn't have to redo the medical. I did include a copy of my vaccination checklist the medical doctor gave me from the visa examination just in case.

I forgot about the medical records - I requested that they be transferred to my new doctor once I had found one although it was a lot more of a pain getting them to do it once I was here already.

I paid for my doctor's office to copy my entire file and my kids' files, too. I have big fat folders of them with me. I have yet to share with my new physician as I'm not sure I'm going to stay with her BUT she said once I had them to just bring them with me and they'd pull the data they need from them and scan them.

I asked for a copy of my medical history too... just in case. My doctor charged me by page to make a photocopy, but it was not very much to do. Figured it would be easier to have it. I asked about dentists and other records, but for those was told they do electronic and to just get new doctor, specialist, etc to contact them and they would email/fax.

I don't know if it is necessary (Doubt it is), but seemed easier to just get it.

With the medical, agree with others. If your medical is recent, you should not have to repeat it, but you do need the vaccination worksheet.
