We sent our AOS package back in July and have received no info related to the I-485. I would always look at the processing time for the California service center because it said it was transferred there already. The lady on the phone told me that I need to look at the processing time for Newark, even though it says it was transferred to California. Then it made sense because the Newark processing for the I-485 is upto June 27 2006, so we are still almost two weeks away from even having ours looked at.

ALl this time I was worried about why our package hadn't been "touched" and it turns out it's not our turn yet. So if anyone else has been looking at the CSC processing time because it has been transferred, look at your local office processing time instead. That is the correct processing time , as I was told earlier today from customer service. Last time I called a month ago the lady never told me that info.

the CSC processing times do state *Employment Based Petitions* anyway so they wouldn't apply, likewise whatever you were told by the MISinformation line is debateable. We all have had many different answers to the same questions. I was told something completely different than you as far as where to look to follow processing dates. It's all just pure speculation since we cannot get a straight answer.

It would be nice to be able to go by that because the processing date for our local office is July 17, 2006 which puts us two weeks or so away from being looked at as well. YET, there have been some applications approved in a matter of days from NOA1 so I suppose that blows the processing date out of the water, eh?

don't know why some people get approved faster, but I hope that at least we are soon since we're both from July

The fact that some cases get out of CSC within a matter of days or a couple of weeks doesn't jive with the DO processing dates being the real processing dates for CSC, like Karencee said. They don't matter anyways, it seems that if you are stuck in namecheck you will sit at CSC however long they want you to (assuming this is why some of us sit at CSC for longer that others), processing dates make no difference no matter where they are for.
