Received checklists for both AOS and IV on same day

Timeline

We emailed both AOS and IV documents to NVCelectronic on Jan 16 2015. We also completed and submitted DS 260 on the same day.

To this day, we still haven't received the 'scanned date' email as confirmation. On Tuesday, the "nice" lady at NVC actually told us they have stopped sending out confirmation email for a loooooong time (we are like really? then what the heck did Not a Tailor received then?) And they have been telling quite a few people this week the same thing. It's very alarming to say the least since we have no way to confirm if our docs got there safe and sound. We can potentially wait 60 days and 60 days and 60 days.

We called again yesterday and the gentleman at NVC even insisted that in this day and age, emails will always go through to the other end so he solemnly declared that Jan 16 2015 is our scanned date and we should only call back when its Mar 16 which is our 60 days to check on our status... Right ...

Then today we got 2 emails from NVCInquiry and turns out to be 2 checklists, AOS and IV, the checklists included all the required documents. So what does that really means? Our emails never got there? OR its the infamous false checklists?! We are so dejected and feel so hopeless.

The AOS checklist asked for petitioner's birth certificate, marriage certificate and financial information

and the IV checklist asked for beneficiary's police certificate and passport

We have been researching on this particular forum and we noticed the following people are on the same boat with us...

Us emailed on Jan 16
TwoChickies emailed on Jan 25
Kitti emailed on Jan 27
canuckmoran emailed on Feb 4
mag2929 emailed on Feb 11
CanadianGirl123 emailed on Feb 11

mrs thb emailed on Feb 15

All the wise ones on VJ what should we do? What can we really do? :( :( :( :(

I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this stress, buddy. :(

We also called today out of curiosity, and the very snippy woman, Abby, told us the infamous "there's no way to tell if we've received it or not" and then proceeded to inform us that we will not receive a confirmation email, but we will get one closer to the 60 day mark. Yeah, okay. :girlwerewolf2xn:

I guess this is what they are telling people now.

It does sound like you got a false checklist though, and the only way to be sure is to call and verify. Maybe that means it will actually show up in their system when they check your status though!

Yeah. That's what we thought too. They reviewed our DS-260. NVC either say send it again or everything is fine and dont bother them until 60days is up. It's so stressful.

I figure you guys might get one in a bit less than 2 weeks.

Sounds to me like when they scanned your docs into their system, it generated false checklists. Man, what a system! I would call and verify that they are false. At least you know there has been movement on your case, and the docs are most likely in their system. Call to make sure. I hope you get Gus or Ivy, they were awesome. Good luck! :)

Okay, Abbey from NVC said our docs are "scanned" into the system and our 60 day count starts ... today... sigh

I'm like we emailed the documents on Jan 16 but she's like it takes time to scan into the system and it can take 60 days... sigh

S&A found out that it was a false checklist.

And no, you don't have to include the petitioner's birth certificate or marriage certificate. Seeing as how the petitioner and beneficiary are married, the beneficiary's marriage certificate is also the petitioner's. :) The birth certificate would only be if you used that to prove citizenship.

Try not to sweat it too much, miss lady! I bet you did everything a-okay, you researched and researched, try to trust yourself even though this process makes it difficult.

Sorry I misread. I was too distraught when I saw that two email. The letter was addressed to the petitioner but it asked for beneficiary's birth certificate and marriage certificate then financial evidences. The other checklist asked for beneficiary's passport bio page and police certificate. Sorry! They are false checklists. We just have to sit tight and pray for no checklist.

And yes this process changes but the agents at NVC likes to change their lines more.. for the past week they kept telling us that they stopped sending confirmation emails a long time ago but we got it this morning. Yesterday, the agent told me our scan was Feb 19 but the confirmation email said Jan 16. It's very frustrating.

I wish I can nap and fast forward too. It's not a bad idea when it's -20c outside and feel like -40c sometimes. :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:
