Oh yay OP! I knew it would be fine. It's just a fluke, they probably have to do a stoke interview once in a while and they picked "your number". Also, being that you came down to the States on a B2, maybe you didnt have a lot of joint documents yet...mind you, most newly married peops dont, anyway... If the agent said it was a done deal, then it is. Dont worry about it! Congrats again. Sorry you had to go through that, it happens but you prevailed :dancing:

(just be sure to give them your birth certificate ASAP. If I were you, I'd go in person to the field office to be sure)

Yeah the weird thing is, we have a joint bank, credit card, health and dental insurance, pictures from before the marriage and also after from Vegas and Hawaii. I thought we had more than enough. I will get on the birth certificate. Have to send out for it since I'm not in Canada. Edited by 10pmStalker

It is weird. I really think they have to have some randomly selected stoke interviews from time to time and that, while it's rare, they just happened to pick you all! It's stressful but its not like its questions you wouldn't have the answer to :)

I think you should receive your birth certificate pretty quickly. They seem to be pretty good with these things, I once lost my Canadian passport in the US and I was surprised at how quickly I got a new one. Mind you, birth certificates are provincial I believe, but still. Good luck! You're out of the woods!

Free free to ask any questions, this site is great, and you'll always have fellow Canadians willing to help you and encourage you :star:

since it was a local uscis office interview,

i suggest, instead,

to go in to the local office,

tell the security guard you want to drop off in the drop-off box

and

address the outside of the envelope to the name of the IO that interviewed you, ages past.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

That's a good idea, I've been trying to figure out the interviewers name. We asked him before we left. Just can't remember. It's there any way I can find the immigration officer's that work there?
