I finally have my passport with the K1 visa in it (received 9 days after interview at embassy). I can't tell you how useful this site has been over the many months of waiting. So, thank you all for your posts. Of course, I will continue to be a member as the process continues for AOS etc. But for now, I fly out to the US this Friday for Christmas and wedding!

Thank you Sukanya...Fingers crossed for my case. I am not able to go with her as I already went twice in 1 1/4 year.

I sent the affidavit of support, recent tax filing, w2, couple of pay stubs, 3 months bank statements, my income is above the required expectation. Do you think I am good?

Yeah it's more than enough. All they took from me was the Affidavit of Support and W2's. They did ask for 1040 but I didn't have it and it's not a compulsory document to have as W2 is enough for proof of income. It doesn't affect your chances. Good luck with your interview and keep me posted.

Hi, my fiancee got her visa approved. She was told that it will take 8 days for her to receive the passport to her home.

Hey! Sukanya, do you know if we need a transit visa for Air France, Lufthansa. I was told British does not need it.

Hey Vanamali,

I'm not really sure about that. Why don't you check it with the airlines? Anyways, congratulations on the approval. I'll be lying to the States on the 22nd of December. Which city is your fiancee flying from?

Hi Sukanya,

I found out that British Airways, does not need it. Air France said they need it. My fiancee is coming from Vizag to New Delhi to Newark. This route does not require a transit visa.

Wow!!! Great news.

My fiance has her interview on January 25th. I am flying to Tokyo. The instructions she received after booking the interview indicate that I will NOT be allowed into the embassy. Anyway, I am going to show up with her and they'll either let me in or I'll be able to report how cold one gets on a January morning standing outside for two or three hours in downtown Tokyo.

i-751 Sent 1/7/19
i-751 Received 1/9/19
Check Cashed 1/14/19
(G-1145 Email Receipt of case #: Never Received)
1/15/19: Called USCIS and given EAC Case Number
