I submitted the RFE response on September 14th, by priority mail. The online status was updated to indicate that they received the RFE response on September 17th, that they would resume working on the Petition, and that they would issue a decision by mail or advise if they need anything else from me.

Vanamali, any news on your RFE?

Has anyone else who is waiting for a response heard anything?

Am I right that the decision now that RFE response has been sent could be as fast as two or three weeks or as long as eight weeks?

Thanks.

I hope everyone is hanging in there.

Eric

Eric,

It has been more than a month. No response...my original date was Jan 22. They are showing Jan 18th now. I called the tier-2 person. He said they are still processing Jan 18th and it will take more time than normal as I got an RFE. But, I think they put my case aside. Don't know what to do.

So we have yet to hear a peep.

We contacted a congressman, they sent us a letter saying they were looking into it. But that was two weeks ago.

Now I see that the TSC is working on January 19, and we filed January 7th. I'm a little bit more than peeved right now. I feel like we, along with other people, have been lost at TSC. Forgotten. :(

So I submitted an inquiry, and it said they would respond by October 15. And we are going to call to bother them again.

This is suppose to be only the first step in a long process, I have no idea even where my interview will take place. Or how I am suppose to get there. I do apologize, I know a lot of you guys are in this same boat.

This is just ridiculous.

I have been in several helpless situations. But, this is the most painful of all.

Hi Vanamali:

Have you tried your Congressman or Congresswoman? You can ask them to make an inquiry for you. Sometimes they can get more information than we can.

I did not. I talked to the BCIS 3 times. 2 times they said I have to wait 60 days (Oct 19th). 1 time I talked to the second tier person who said he will create the service ticket after few weeks.

I don't know if I get the congress man involved how they BCIS will take. Will it act negatively, I don't know.

Hi Vanamali:

I have never heard that getting the Congressman involved will create any trouble. I believe they have special e-mail access to USCIS and perhaps they can at least get you some info.

I am in the same position as you. My case status simply says that they received my response on Sept. 17 to the RFE and they are processing my case again. But it doesn't say when I can expect an answer.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Our NOA1 date is January 22nd. We haven't heard a single thing. We put in a service request August 31 and have not heard anything from that. We also put an expedite request in on Monday and were denied on Thursday. The Tier 2 officers are particularly challenging to talk with. Everyone says something different and I've been hung up on twice. Feels like there is no accountability.

I know how you feel, we just have to keep waiting and praying. I am a Feb filler too and no news as a matter of fact, I case was last updated 9th Feb!

Very painful. Just hold on strong it will come in the end.

I read of someone who is still waiting a year since Oct 2014, I really feel for her though. She must be really stressed with the process and all.

I hope ours doesn't come to that ??. It's really stressful.

Calling USCIS is moot in my experience cause they do just nothing. I kinda wonder if they get paid only to sit on the phones and read back to the applicants.

We filed on 8 January and responded to a RFE on 17 August and still nothing. We have to wait 60 days, until 16 October before we can make a case inquiry on the basis of them processing outside of normal timelines. It is really frustrating when some people get their NOA2 a couple of weeks after a RFE and it seems for us (and I know many others) TSC just seem to be using the 60 days as another excuse to take even longer. Who knows if the case inquiry actually even makes any difference. This is so frustrating!

We're am in the same boat, but one month behind. They received our RFE response for better proof of divorces on September 17. This means it is nearly impossible for my fiancé to have her interview this year. If it takes anywhere near 60 days to begin working on our file again then our best shot at the interview is looking like February, given that it takes about 30 days to get a file to an embassy after NOA2 and 60 days to get the interview scheduled after that.

The processes to just shattering. I did not expect it to be this hard.
