I received hard copy of RFE today. Exactly 11 days after notice on website case status.

The RFE is for the item I predicted were deficient: Japanese Divorce Decree.

They also want additional document regarding my marriage here in Massachusetts. I already have that so it is ready to go.

I have a new document from Japan to send to prove (hopefully) my fiancé's divorce. But, I am also hiring a Japanese lawyer to write a letter of explanation so they understand I am sending the best proof I can.
I have to run out, but later I will print exact language from RFE. It might be helpful to anyone who has to send Massachusetts divorce documentation, which is a little tricky because of so called "nisi" periods.

A lot of people on here helped me while I was suffering waiting for this RFE arrive. I again thank you all very much!!!!!

i admire what you did, truly, i wish my fiancee had the time through his work time to do this, we are now at our day 182 and nothing, and in Egypt it takes too long until interview and even after interview who knows many people go through AP i pray i as a female not to go through AP for long, so down , so frustrated that other people controlling our life and happiness :(

We completely understand how "down" you are. Just know that you are not alone, and people do get through this and get married. Have him take a half day at work and call and call. I waited for 30 minutes on hold, but that hour was worth it.

We still have just over 2 months to wait, which is 2 months too long, but it will all be worth it in the end. I would do it again, just to be with her.

Alright. On August 25th, our case was finally approved!! Only took a week for them to review the RFE. So happy right now. I started crying a little when I saw the case updated. Feels like a weight has been lifted. Still a long road to go, but I have more hope now.

To everyone who is still waiting, my prayers are with you. I really hope everyone else here can get an approval really soon.

What was your RFE about?

It took a week from the time they updated the website or received the document?

Thanks. I accidentaly missed one of the questions on the i-129F form. So I sent it back on August 15th. Then on August 18th they updated the case status saying that they received the RFE and would be reviewing it. Then on week later on the 25th I got the approval. Then last night I got an update saying that on the 27th they have sent our case to the National Visa Center. Which surprised me because I thought maybe it would not get sent till next week. So I guess the stories are true. Once you make it through Texas, everything starts to move a better pace. I just hope everyone else can get an approval soon.

Hello everyone!!! This is the 4th post I've made on this board and it will surely be the last as I have not gotten a single response from anyone of you much like the TSC. I've been following this board since I got my NOA1 January 12th and I've watched everyone of you and complain all up and down this board, and eventually get approved. What really grinds my gears is those who waited far less than me such DZAmaral ( filed a month after me) having the nerve to wine and cry and end up getting approved. I've watched every SINGLE one of you lames get approved or at least received an RFE and many even have their interview dates lined up. Iam literally the only January filer left who has yet to hear absolutely nothing. I'm living in my fiances country and have been for almost

6 months and I'm preparing to tell my family when i go back in 3 weeks that by the start of next year I plan to move with her and start our lives. The TSC, whole entire visa process, US customs, can blow me. I'll come visit the US from time to time and speak with those that matter over there. Peace out ? mic drop...

I can't imagine why no one would respond to you what with the childish name calling and the entitled attitude.

/sarcasm off

I'm sorry you've had to wait this long. I realize you are upset and frustrated and you have every right to be that way. But what you don't have is a right to lash out at everyone else because of what you feel was a slight against you. In your four posts all you have done is talk about your situation. You have asked no questions nor have you offered any response to anyone else. I'm not sure what exactly it is that you wanted from the members of Visa Journey. We are all here to support each other and I'm very sorry that in the middle of everything someone may not have gotten back to you or responded to you in the manner you were expecting. I read everyone's posts in this particular thread every single day. I can't always reply. I have a full time job, and I'm raising two children alone. I sincerely hope the best for you and I hope that your case gets moving. As for unsolicited adivce, have you considered the fact that you are living with your fiance in Aruba may be slowing down the processes a little? Have you contacted anyone? When you got your NOA1 where were you living? Did you write your congressman, senator?

Wow Dana and Rosanny,

I imagine people would be more inclined to respond if you were slightly less of a brat. Also realize that you've had the luxury of being with your loved one for 6 MONTHS. Far more time than I've ever spent with my fiancé altogether. There are many couples who are forced to be APART from their finances for 6 months.

None of us have any magic wand that can help you. We are all in the same boat waiting. Some get earlier than others and it is really painful to watch others waiting. If you have specific question then you can get an answer. If not for this forum, I won't have a clue what is going on. You can get most answers by using the search bar. If you have already asked your congressmen, then you may want to try again, be persistent, show your mettle instead of calling out names here. A number of people have shared their experiences with congressmen and you can try those methods.

Having said that, you are living with your fiancee. In fact, looks like she is settled there and you are able to live with her. You are way luckier than most of us. Why don't you explore consular processing, dump this k1, marry her and apply for spouse visa through consulate. Live with her and enjoy your life instead of venting your frustration on people you don't know.

I'm a January 20th filer and haven't heard anything back yet, that individual is not the only person who hasn't heard anything back. You are right this is to support each other through this and personally, I am happy for all of those who are approved and I'll be happily posting on here once I hear a response. It's out of all of our control on who gets approved before others, so there's no one to blame.
