Well, the slow torture continues. Case status online says RFE mailed August 13th. It is now a full week later and the RFE has not arrived. I called the Texas Service Center and they had no explanation.
The website says to contact them if I do not receive the RFE by September 12th. Wow, I really don't want to wait that long.
I have preferred not to just sit back and wait for nothing.
But I really am not sure what to do here. Do I just wait? How long? If I don't wish to wait, what are the options?

i-751 Sent 1/7/19
i-751 Received 1/9/19
Check Cashed 1/14/19
(G-1145 Email Receipt of case #: Never Received)
1/15/19: Called USCIS and given EAC Case Number

Hi Stephanie and Vanamali:

Thanks so much for responding.

Stephanie C: You're right, of course, the US Mail is slow. And Vanamali, thanks for letting me know your hard copy took 10 days. It's only been 7 days for me so I'll just wait.

Yeah I'm beginning to think they lost mine lol. This is crazy, the last one was December 21st by June 30th. It's been nearly 2 months to process January petitions.

Your case i no out of normal processing times. You should make a case status inquiry and get them to sort it out. If you haven't already contact your congress man.

Still no sign of any activity on my USCIS account!! Ugh, I think I'll call the TSC to see what, if any, information they can give me.

I agree that you should contact your Congressman or Congresswoman. Find out who it is online and go to their website. The Congressperson will have a privacy waiver form they will need you to print out sign and mail to them. Give them the particulars of your case and they will call or e-mail USCIS for you and they get quick and substantive responses from USCIS. I did that after my Petition seemed to be lying around untouched. Within one week I got a response on our Petition. It was an RFE (which I actually expected) but the bottom line is I believe your Congressman's inquiry will help get your Petition looked at.

I called the uscis main number, was told that there is nothing they could do, but I am not a big fan of taking "no" for an answer. I was transfered to the supervisor and kept repeating, "that answer is unacceptable". I kept my voice low and calm, but did not back down. I asked her if she needed to wait over 7 monts for her approval to marry, and asked how she would feel if someone told her that she could not live with her significant other for almost a year. She apologized that I needed to wait, as a US born and took my contact info. We were approve for our NOA2 the next day.

Don't forget that you are a US Citizen and that you are constitutionally protected when it come to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Good luck and dont take NO for an answer.

Hi everyone,

So I received RFE and it's for letter of intent to marry. My question is. Does he have to write the letter in Spanish or can he write it in English? This process is so long. Lol

Everything should be in English or translated all the time.
