So after USCIS updated the case from "your case was approved" to "your Case was sent to Department of state" then it won't update the case anymore? how should I check to see if they have received it in department of sate, process it and send it to embassy ? Thanks

Correct. You will have to call the NVC for that information. They usually have the case number ready 3-4 weeks after the NOA2

4/21/2016 - Got green card! :) No immigration worries til 2018!

After calling TSC yesterday to see what was going on I was told I had to just wait. Well guys just received RFE a few minutes ago through case tracker. Would have loved an approval, but at this time any response is exciting. I almost fell out my chair.

NOA1: January 14, 2015

RFE: August 11, 2015

Not sure what comes next. Any advice or encouragement to calm my nerves.

Should we have included his birth certificate?

Just wait for the snail mail . For me it took few days to get it. You will see what evidence or form you need to send back in. The address will be different than the time you filed I-129F . It will come with a new bar code on the side of paper. I didnt know I was happy or sad too but at least someone was checking ur papers.

I sent mine back today. Another soul destroying process- the wait.

Another day, no NOA2 or RFE :bonk:

According to Immifairy we're approaching the bottom of the barrel of untouched January petitions...

Hello Ehh:

I am feeling the same pain. January 13 NOA1 and still nothing. Crazy process. I'll gladly take the RFE I am anticipating so I can do something rather sit at the bottom of that barrel.

Anyway, I hope you get an approval soon.

i-751 Sent 1/7/19
i-751 Received 1/9/19
Check Cashed 1/14/19
(G-1145 Email Receipt of case #: Never Received)
1/15/19: Called USCIS and given EAC Case Number

Hey Eric, i still haven't heard either and I'm also a January 13 filer! Haven't heard anything, not a thing, not ONE thing! Gaah this process is the worst! My fiancé in Nicaragua lost his job last week because they heard he was applying for a visa to leave. They said they would rather hire someone now and train them. Ridiculous! Thankfully he found a part time job for the interim but still! Fingers crossed that this week is both your and my week!! Good luck!
