I'm a January 20th filer ugh!still waiting but seeing these approvals give me hope that it's coming soon. Do the approvals usually occur at night?

Hi Tekejian:

We're in the same boat, still adrift at sea. (I'm a Jan 13th, which is REALLY scary).

It seems to me that many people who have received approvals report getting them in the evening. (I would be pleased as punch to get some response, any response: approval or RFE).

I have reached a stage where I am taking any action I can. I have already asked my Congressman to contact the TSC for me. Also, before the end of this week I will have requests out to both of my Senators to intervene on my behalf.

I don't want to scare anyone, much less myself, but I read a thread on here where some poor couple got an RFE which was mailed to the wrong address. The USCIS website was never updated and they didn't know an RFE had been issued. The time to respond to the RFE expired. They finally sought intervention, at which point they were told by USCIS that they would have TO START ALL OVER AGAIN WITH A NEW PETITION, unless they could prove they never received the RFE.

While that is an obviously an extremely rare case, I am now assuming the worst at each phase of this soul destroying process and taking every possible action I can to avoid even the most remote and seemingly implausible nightmare scenario.

I'm not recommending anyone else get so paranoid, but for me it has reached a stage where I am asking my Congressman and Senators to confirm where the heck our Petition is. The advisory at the bottom of my timeline indicates that Jan 13th filers should have had their NOA1 adjudicated or RFE'ed by July 27th. So, now it's getting scary.....

Tekejian, I hope you have good news soon. I also urge you not to lose hope. Stay positive (Unlike me). I am starting to lose hope and the only way I can respond to that is to take massive action. Even if futile, doing something seems better than nothing.

Yup. Usually between 8:00PM - 11:00PM EST.

My text came at EXACTLY 9:00PM on the dot and then the e-mail followed about 15 mins later. If you signed up on the USCIS site you should get the text then or around then. :)

Based on Immifairy data you should be getting something any day now they have been jumping around a lot but the late January files have been getting a lot of attention.

Thanks for the information :). Visa journey has me estimated to receive something this week, but that date has jumped around a lot. I must say that the community here is really supportive of one another, and it has helped me just visiting and talking to others here.

I hope the rest of your journey goes smoothly and you are with your loved one really soon.

Ericappelbaum, believe me I understand your frustration and paranoia but most likely your petition is still sitting pretty and untouched at TSC. When calling them, they'll tell you they're only on November applications at the moment, which I know is infuriating when you see so many Jans go through. There were many many people before us at TSC who had to wait around 250 days when there was nothing wrong with their applications.

Thanks Nordic. I am sure you are correct regarding my file. And yes, I am responding mostly to my own frustration. It's been around 200 days since the NOA1 and I will just have to be patient.

I hope your own visa journey goes swiftly and smoothly and thanks again for your calming comments. I do appreciate it.

So I called my congressman today, and talked to one of his assistants. I had written him back in May, and been trying to keep in contact with him. Anyway, he told me that in Texas they are actually going through some kind of training seminar for it's employees. I wonder if this is going to slow down approvals while they are doing this. I thought I would pass this information on to everyone else here who have been waiting.

Well, that would explain TSC's 0 approvals yesterday. Did they happen to say how long this much needed training is going to take?

No he didn't indicate how long it was going to be. He said he would call back in about a week. Hopefully it will not be long.

Day 211 for me.

Has anyone else noticed that it seems like TSC is only approving late January filers?

I rarely see anyone from the first two weeks of January getting approved.

Makes me feel overlooked :C .

Yes. I noticed the exact same thing.

I have a Congressman and a Senator making inquiries for me, hopefully before the end of this week and/or early next week. I'll pass on any info I get.

Is anyone else trying to figure out how they've wronged the universe to deserve such a fate?

I'm going to lose my mind.

Day 204.

The thought that this could make it past 250 days...ugh. ugh. ugh.

Oh yes. I have wondered what I could have done to have such bad karma with this. I have been waiting 190 days. Not as long as you yet, but still not fair compaired CSC applicants.

I just looked up on the CEAC website and our case is ready for packet 3.

Sorry I haven't been more active, was away for work. Congrats on everyone who was approved. I feel bad updating as I see so many of you are still waiting. I'm sorry for your struggle :(

My NOA1 was January 15th. Haven't heard anything! Looking up my case number on USCIS only yields a "Your case has been received" message. Nothing more! Seeing a bunch of people around the same time makes me hopeful I'll be close behind, but also a little nervous that we haven't been approved yet...
