I am still waiting and it is now 185 days and no action from TSC. I have two Georgia senators sending inquiries but have heard nothing yet. I can't look at the approvals from the CSC because it is like an arrow piercing my heart. I am also frustrated and my fiancé is even more frustrated. I sure have learned a lot about government ineptness (if that is even a correct word). Would even subscribing to Immifairy even give me any comfort?

If you note my signature, my fiancé, also from Georgia contacted his Senator, Isakson and we were approved about 2 weeks after we received the reply from Texas. Not sure if it helped but maybe it made them look at it quicker. In regards to Immifairy, I can only share my personal experience. After subscribing for over 6 weeks I had a much better idea of what is and was happening at Texas. The basic consensus from Immifairy is that they are fudging their numbers. So that statistically they don't look so far behind. From that data they approve a LOT more than you think. VJ only represents 1000 at a time. Immifairy tracks over 10,000. There are still people from August to December waiting. They seem to approve some of the backlog then jump forward to the ones that are about to go passed 6 months + therefore, fudging their numbers. It helped me greatly to gage when we would get approval. :) Good luck. Hope that helps.

Thank you for you insight into this. It did make me feel a little better. I am glad that you are finally approved and hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly.

You're welcome! It's a tough situation for us all at TSC. But rest assured I'm still currently subscribed and they are approving a vast amount per month. I hope you'll be approved soon. I just kept positive and kept telling myself it'll come. It's worth it in the end.

And once out of Texas it all moves faster, if you're well prepared you can make back some of the time lost hopefully :D

Exactly! My fiance and I are EXTREMELY well prepared...we have literally everything ready to go... just waiting to get our approval and NVC number...then we're ready to book the medical asap.

Not to be offensive, but it does frustrate me to other people get their NOA2's and have been on this forum long and have no clue what to do next. Or that they didn't even order their police cert yet, and then you have people like us who are well prepared, ready to go and have to wait just to get the NOA2... lol it's a joke really.

But besides that, thank you so much for your kindness...the positivity does help! :)

I agree I find that aggravating too but not as much as the people who get expedited but you see the poe is several months after the visa is issued, why jump ahead in line if you arent even ready to come?

Exactly right. And then they post a new topic saying NOA2. What next? I mean c'mon, there's guides on this site for a reason. Do the research. I've reading and rereading everything for months. Even the AOS, ROC and Citizenship stuff!

I've been readily awaiting our NVC and LND case number since about April. Only thing I have to do is book my medical (waiting for case number) and get my fiancé to post the affidavit of support documents :)

well in regards to the police cert, every country is different. It takes a week or two to issue where I live, and my consulate takes 2-3 months to process the paperwork after NVC. There's really no point in getting it months in advance for me. I don't have everything together yet, because stressing myself out over something that I don't need for 3 months isn't going to make them process my visa faster lol . Personally I would be worried that they would say my paperwork is too old if I got a police cert 3-4 months in advance.

4/21/2016 - Got green card! :) No immigration worries til 2018!

I agree with you there. It is different for every consulate. I think for Charlie and I we were probably talking about the U.K. as those police certificates are valid for 6/12 months. Which for me personally is more than enough time :)

Fair enough, that makes perfect sense then hahaha. I have no idea how long the Canadian ones are valid for, but it's not a difficult process, they just take your ID and give it to you a week later, nothing to stress about.. on the other hand, I had to order a new birth certificate because they give us "short form" ones and the US gov wants a fancy one, that took months to come in the mail.

Wow! That is a long time. I had to order my "long" BC too. Took about two weeks, same for the police certificate. Amazing how things differ by country. But definitely a good reason to make sure you know your country specifics :)

Hopefully you'll also hear good news soon ?

I was referring to UK specific, sorry, didn't make that clear lol

And I think they even take them up to 12 months old! If I'm not mistaken...

And the "long" BCs are the ones with both parent's names, right?

Yep, each country is definitely different. My fiancé has to get a police cert from Singapore. Singapore won't issue a police cert for non-Singaporeans without an NVC Case ID# then it takes 4-6 weeks after that to receive it. Just another bump is this hurry up and wait journey.

That's a very familiar story for me, not Singapore but China. I had to pay £400 to get a special company to obtain my Chinese police certificate since they wouldn't issue one for me before I left. They were totally picky and obnoxious about letting me have one, even though I was entitled to have one. It all worked out fine in the end and then police certificate, translation etc were great but still a pain considering the cost.

Nothing in this process is cheap or easy. International love haha :D
