Congrats to all of you who have had recent approvals. I am very happy you are moving forward through this nightmarish process. Also, thanks for giving updates on timeframes after your NOA2. When the rest of us get an approval or RFE, that info is very helpful so we'll know what to expect.
I'm a Jan. 12th. We wish I could send additional docs we've gathered which I know they're going to want, but I was told that's a bad idea when they may be close to acting on a file. So we have to wait. I hope others continue to receive good news soon and that your journey is smooth.
It is good to see others make it through.

Hey guys I called the NVC today and got my case number. It's not in the CEAC tracker yet (apparently it takes a few days). I can't wait til it gets sent off to my consulate! Feels like as soon as you get the NOA2 the ball really starts rolling, and we don't even have all of our paperwork together yet lol.. Panic time! Is anyone else from our group at this stage yet?

PS good luck to all of you guys still waiting at TSC, I hope you hear back from them this week :)

4/21/2016 - Got green card! :) No immigration worries til 2018!

We just got the text/email last night that our case was sent to NVC so hopefully in about 2 weeks I can start harassing them.

I've been keeping a file ever since I sent my petition it's split up by steps, I have a full copy of the petition and all documents supporting it, then a new section with pictures and conversations since I sent the petition, and finally a section with my NOA2 copy, the I-134, letter from employer, pay stubs, last years W2, more pictures & passport stamps/itineraries and the resigned intents.

Fortunately my fiance is with me right now in the states so I can just give him this information, otherwise I'd mail it to him. I printed out the DS-160 and we filled it out together as a sample so that he can do it electronically when the time comes.

Wow you're super organised!

I'm visiting my fiancé in the states right now too, so we're working on getting his financial stuff together this week/next week, and then in the beginning of August I'm going to get my police check and do the DS-160 and everything once I'm back in Canada. Good idea about collecting the current pictures and everything, maybe I should do that now too...

Someone was saying that the current Montreal appointments are like Sept. 4th so hopefully we can both book ours soon, maybe even get married in late Sept/early Oct! That would be so incredible eh?

I just thought it would be great to take advantage of getting it all together while he is here. Now that it's done, a HUGE load is off my back. I can relax a little. I was worried about Montreal being backed up but that would be so delightful to interview in September. I anticipated October. I'm driving down from Nova Scotia with him (he's from NFL) and really was hoping to do so before the winter.

I get that, I'm pretty nervous about it currently, so I'll definitely feel the same way when it's all over! Gathering the documents is the worst part.

Well, that should be a really enjoyable trip, Nova Scotia is beautiful! I'd love to go back there someday. Does your fiance have a newfie strong accent? I'm only from Ontario and I get teased by my American friends quite a bit lol.

He certainly has an accent but it's not overly newfie sounding. His inflection is very newfie though. I personally have a New Zealander accent (raised there) so the two of us together at any social event is humourous, especially in the south.
