Slow progress this past Thursday and Friday...

Here's to an active week on Monday!

That is kind of disappointing to hear. Hopefully this coming up week will be the miracle week for a lot of people.

I was hoping to hear something this past week but nada. I am also hoping this coming week will be 'the miracle week' for us too.

I'm just hanging on. I am 95% certain to get an RFE for a divorce decree from Japan where my fiancé got her divorce years ago. (We sent a related document but recent research on the forum uncovered new info indicating USCIS wants something slightly different.)

We didn't even wait. We have the new document and it's translated and my fiancé is sending it to me as we speak. I would LOVE to just send USCIS the new document now because I am pretty sure it would stop the RFE and we'd get approved right away. But I was told on another thread NOT to send it in because it's better to wait for the RFE at this stage.

If I knew they weren't going to touch my file in the next month, I would probably send the new documents, but it would be potential trouble if the RFE and the new document crossed in the mails because I would not be enclosing the original RFE letter.

While everyone says I shouldn't assume RFE, it's pretty clear they'll want the additional info. Anyway, I'm glad we were able to uncover what they want and now we're ready to respond in immediately when the RFE hits.

I read that RFE files stay on the desk of the case specialist who sends it, so it's not like we're back to the end of the line.

I hope everyone else gets their approvals quick and we get our RFE

Thanks, Steph!!! I'm really hoping this is my week! I hope the January approvals roll in again!

According to my VJ timeline estimate it may be. I just hope it stands true.

Seems no progress today also!! :-(

Approvals don't go out until around 8pm-10pm. I believe that's when the USCIS site updates. I got my approval at exactly 2:31am BST. So around half 9 at night for my USC fiancé. But this can differ. You probably won't see any approvals on VJ until later or tomorrow at the earliest. That's provided people update their timelines promptly :)

Hi all. Just got my paper RFE notice. Turns out.... they lost my birth certificate and need proof that I'm a citizen. (I had passport copies in the packet, too! And my birth certificate was a certified copy, front and back etc.)

Man! Not only am I irritated, but a little concerned as well... I mean, I'm not thrilled to have a copy of my birth certificate just floating around out there.

At least I have more copies from filing the petition and can overnight everything tomorrow. Gotta look on the bright side.
