Everyone knows starter jackets are a gateway drug.

I still have my Patriots Starter winter coat that I bought back in the early 90's. I went to a game with a buddy of mine and it was colder on the hill than we thought so we went to the Pro Shop and bought coats.

You don't know who Will Ferrell is?

Who?

Spooks, I know you remember the Barracuda Jacket days.

i never had one. they were like 100 bucks. my parents weren't too concerned with my cool factor i guess.

Nothing says cool like wearing winter boots and plastic bags on your feet to keep them dry. That was all the craze when I was a kid.

I am wearing running shorts and a t-shirt. The fog should burn off soon.

Commando I bet. ;)

Well if you call not having a starter jacket living.

Commando I bet.

hey, better than buying 150$ uggs for a tween who'll wear them twice and decide they weren't expensive enough. toes are warm though.

If you try hard enough, you can probably trace everything that's gone in your life back to not getting that jacket.

no, i think it goes back to not getting the jean jacket i wanted. i wanted a cool jean jacket, like the boys had, with plenty of open back space for a 'metal church' or 'megadeath' patch. my mom thought she'd scored when she found a jean jacket with puffy girl sleeves on the clearance rack at kmart. i was devastated.

Werd.

We used to have rubber boots for winter that had a zipper that went from the top of the foot up your the front of your leg about 3 or 4 inches. The only problem was the damn zipper wasn't waterproof, so we'd end up putting plastic baggies over our socks to help keep our feet dry. And back then the only winter coats we had were snorkel jackets.
